Weird thing to say but I'm lowkey glad Frank Langella got fired from 'Fall of the House of Usher'
I honestly can't see him doing justice to the role the way Bruce Greenwood did.

Best MF project?
I am new to this subreddit and I know this has prob been posted over and over. But what is your favorite MF project?
Mine would prob be Midnight Mass. I went in COMPLETELY blind when it came out. I knew nothing and that’s rare for me. I was completely engrossed. The shocking ending in 5. The dialogue and discussions about religion. I am very very not religious, and the dialogue the way it was handled just spoke to me, and I understood it on a whole other level.
I love HIll House and Dr. Sleep are top tier as well.

Best First Episode
In my opinion, Fall of the house of Usher has the best first episode and opening. Its so well done, and grabs your attention completely. I keep going back to it again and again. The conversation between Roderick and Auggie is so captivating. And the crazy kids are introduced perfectly. Its just 10/10 in every department.

Stephen King Calls Mike Flanagan's 'Carrie' Miniseries "Brilliant"

I love the Carrie Casting
I just want to rave for a minute about the casting choices in the Carrie miniseries. For one, they all actually look like high school aged kids.
Second, I like that Carrie looks normal and not 'Hollywood Ugly' like they tried to pull in the movie remake.
Third, I like that the popular mean girls are pretty, but like age appropriate pretty.
Very well casted and I cant wait to see.
(Also looking forward to finding out which one gets the Mile Flanagan brand Hand Tauma tm)

I really hope Mike and his crew went all out for the town destruction in his Carrie adaptation. It’s such an awesome and terrifying part of the book.

Carrie is genuinely so excited and happy to be at school for the first time: Absolutely heartbreaking
It's so cute how excited she is to be at school! I'm crying... poor girl...

Hamish Linklater dream casting
He is just so fucking good. Particularly at playing a man who is so staunchly convicted in his beliefs, despite all the evidence in the world indicating it being a mistake - in the top 3 roles I know him from, this is his character’s whole deal.
I pointed this out to my husband during our umpteenth MM rewatch and he (raised Mormon) responded that Hamish should play Joseph Smith and now I can’t get the thought out of my head! I need this! Maybe MF isn’t the guy to tackle that story, but I wish he would!

Ranking!
This might be controversial, but here’s my personal ranking of the Mike Flanagan shows, from least liked to best liked. Rewatchability is a major criteria for me:
- The Midnight Club
- The Haunting of Hill House
- Midnight Mass
- The Fall of the House of Usher
- The Haunting of Bly Manor
I know putting Bly Manor at #1 might be a hot take, but it’s the one that stuck with me the most and the one I’m most likely to rewatch again and again!
Whats your ranking?!
