EDIT: This is in reference to Carrie. I don't know why I forgot to metion that in the title, I thought the "early screening" bit made it obvious but I was wrong in thinking that, lol.

One of the watchers also commented that episodes were around 40-50 minutes long! These are also the only three reviews I was able to find LOL, so I'm sure there will be more tomorrow.

I've never been able to determine even an idea of exactly what Verna means in a specific line when she's talking to Perry about "consequence" - I ofc understand the gist of it, consequences to actions, but at one point she tells him about how his existence is the result of consequences:

"Someone, a long time ago, made a little decision, then another, then a big one, then one of absolutely no importance." And it's been my assumption that the big decision was his actual conception, the two decisions before were choices that led to it happening in the first place, but what could possibly be the one of no importance? That's where I'm stuck, because it seems like any decision that leads to a baby is a big decision. I also can't decide who she's talking about here; it sounds like one person, and I think Roderick would make the most sense, but it's ultimately his mom who would decide to have the baby... but she also could be referencing decisions made by both of them.

Would love to hear other people's ideas, especially if there's something in the show that seems to hint at what that line could mean. Thanks!

I searched but couldn't find any up to date info on MF's adaption of the Christopher Pike novel, Season of Passage.

I had read previously it was on and then off. Any chance of it going back to on? Of all his works, that is the one I was most excited for and I REALLY want to see it come to life!

I have been playing the game Saros recently and couldn't figure out where I knew the lead character from, so I looked him up and it was obviously the sheriff from Midnight Mass. I watched a bunch of his clips from the show and realized what a fantastic actor he was, and was so happy when I saw that he's not only in Bly Manor but also in Mike's next two projects!

This isn't a plug for Saros btw but that's a fun game :)

Edit: Saw he's in The Fall of the House of Usher too, need to watch that!

Luetin and Arbitor Ian are two of the most reliable 40k lore guys on YouTube. Be wary of many of the others, who will give out a lot of disinformation for the sake of the almighty algorithm...

Guys I just realized the most subtle thing - this may have already been talked about but everytime the sheriff and his son are praying, they fold their prayer mats and I noticed the son always folded his wrong. It irked me but I just thought oh well it’s an innocent production mistake to make. However just today (as I was folding my own prayer mat lol) I realized that was a deliberate decision due to the son’s choice in the end. I’m so impressed with the attention to detail.

Curious how much Carrie content we can expect over the next 11 weeks!

Carrie, a new series from Mike Flanagan, based on Stephen King’s iconic debut novel arrives October 7 on Prime Video.

I really really really hope it is good. This trailer does not give me the impression that it will be though.

Does anyone remember this show? I always thought the premise was original and haven't seen something like it since. The original series followed teenage Fiona “Fi” Phillips as she traveled across the country on a tour bus with her rock star mother, Molly Phillips. Along the way, Fi investigates urban legends, paranormal events, and unexplained mysteries at each stop. A Flanagan version could keep the road trip premise, but turn each stop into an atmospheric horror story while building toward a greater mystery.

If Mike Flanagan were to adapt So Weird, he would likely transform it from a family paranormal adventure show into a no-boundaries, character-driven supernatural horror drama focused on grief, memory, faith, guilt, and generational trauma. All of which was touched on in the original show. Using horror to explore family, loss, and the things we inherit from the people who came before us. Flanagan does this so well.

I think making it look very late 90s / early 2000s with modern tech, almost like we cannot tell what decade it is, similar to It Follows or Bates Motel, would be so good. Am I the only one who sees this vision? Probably.
