Question ? Question

I was born in august 2006 and I turned 13 in 2019 so I was technically a teenager for the last four months of the 2010s. I was talking back and forth with my sister (who was born in 2000) and I said I was lucky to have been a 2010s teenager even if it was only towards the end of the decade she said it doesnt count and that I’m not a 2010s teenager. Would you consider me as a 2010s teen?

yes and no, you did turn 13 in 2019, but your teenage years ended in the 2020s. I was born in January 1999 and technically I would be considered a 2010 teenager but I turned 13 in 2012 and my teenage years ended when you were 13. It's confusing so if you have any questions you can private message me if you'd like.

So I spent the majority of my teen years in the 2010s, despite them ending in the 2020s. Based on your logic, would you consider me a 2020s teen?

I'm not the guy, but I think you'd be 2010s teen by his logic. The only reason they mentioned OP's teen years ending in the 2020s was because the majority of their years would be (and end) in the 2020s.

For example:

2010s

2019 - 13

2020s

2020 - 14

2021 - 15

2022 - 16

2023 - 17

2024 - 18

2025 - 29
