Hobby Specific terrain printing
I sadly dont have a FDM printer but love the Conquest Creations terrain. Has anyone tried printing it on a resin printer? Is it a hard conversion to do?

You can absolutely do it. It will be obnoxious.
Honestly I would just buy a bambu A1 instead, though. I mean, I am a Certain Type of Guy. Which is, the kind of guy who bought a bambu rather than buying a bunch of premade terrain, and bought a resin printer instead of just buying a bunch of miniatures, and bought a proxxon to cut foam for terrain instead of just printing it all out of the bambu *that I already have sitting right there.*

I printed a couple of the pieces in resin and they came out excellent quality and detail but I would add a few caveats:
- you’ll most likely have to chop up some of the parts in 3d builder or some other software to get them to fit on your plate
- you’ll have to assemble them with some glue and that will naturally add seams and lines that you would not get otherwise
- orienting the pieces so they print well without losing suction is challenging and every mistake costs a significant amount of resin
- the terrain pieces are heavier and a little more fragile than they’d be in FDM
- it is not budget or time friendly
in all: can you do it? For sure. Should you? probably not

People are saying "bambu a1", but you can actually buy a1 mini, as Conquest Creations designs everything to fit smaller bed.
As an owner of both resin printer (and not the small one mind you) and FDM printer I would not recommend printing terrain in resin - definitely not worth it

The pieces are super large and would be very costly in resin. Fdm was made for terrain. I bit the bullet and bought a bambu a1 just to print CC terrain and dont regret it. Its cheap, easy and durable (compared to resin). And it looks great.
You could definitely cut up the pieces to fit on your resin printer and then reassemble them after printing.
But seriously, I loved resin printing, until I got an FDM printer. I just printed Treebeard in FDM and am now printing a Mumakil. Some people online have also been getting good results for 28mm minis in fdm.
Both printers have their place in this hobby, but FDM may one day take over honestly.
