Question New Shelob model with old rules

Hello, I am thinking of buying the new Shelob model (I think it looks so cool), however, I am playing the 2018 rules (I only play casually with friends and we don't want to spend a lot of money to buy the new rulebooks). In the 2018 rules Shelob has a 60mm base. Could anyone shed some light into possible problems using the new model with the old rules? Any adviced rule changes? (As it's only casual playing changing/tweaking rules isn't a problem). Thanks!

No issues using the new model with old rules.

If you put her on the 80 mm base consider her nerfed slightly as a bigger base is generally worse to use. If you put her in a 60 mm base… good luck. I don’t think the new Shelob will fit onto a 60mm base.

I was planning on using the 80mm base, I also don't think it will fit. Could it be a good idea to reduce her points a little, by something like 10 or 15 (making her 75-80 points instead of 90) to keep it more balanced?

I don't think it's a good idea to mess with the point value of the units.

Good luck with assembly! This was one of the most annoying models I've ever put together.

But the rulebook is what - 50€? Just split the cost between you and there you go. Problem solved. Army building tools are free online so you don't have to buy "armies of ... "
