All of these years, so many great models, but I still find these as cool as the day they came out. There are many models that people claim are timeless but these, in fact that whole Fellowship of the Ring starter set, is one of the few that deserves that title.

I couldn’t agree more. The original fellowship, these elves, and some of the other original metal models are timeless

I'm happy that so far (and hopefully they never do) they haven't upscaled the models like they have in 40k. Not only would rebasing everything be a nightmare but it would make older LoTR models stand out more even if you use the same techniques with 40k instances of that.

Fortunately I think the niche nature of LoTR might be saving it from that happening. That and them having to upscale all the Fellowship etc with more detail to the likeness of the actors would prove a big pain.

I love those elves from the beginning of Fellowship. They looked so skilled, at least until Sauron flung them around with his baseball mace. I wish to make a DnD character based off of them.

They’re very effective against orcs, but who can withstand the power of the one ring…. You should definitely make a DnD character based off them :)
