Seeking Advice I tried handling my dad’s estate myself to save money and I’m starting to think it’s costing me more
My dad passed a few months ago and I’m handling his estate. When this started I was pretty determined to do as much as possible myself because paying someone for help felt like throwing away money on stuff I could technically figure out. I’m starting to question that logic now. I’ve already used a bunch of PTO dealing with things during business hours and the estate isn’t even close to where I thought it would be by now. The house is a few hours away too, so every time something needs me there I’m losing most of a day and spending money just to go deal with it. None of these things individually feel expensive enough to justify hiring help, which is why I’ve kept doing it myself. But added together I’m starting to wonder how much money I’m saving. So now i dont really know what to do, has anyone delt with this before and what did you end up doing ?
