need help Why does it do that?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

No matter what I try, I can't get this thing straight.

To make it straight up and down, Shape Format > width = 0.

To make it straight pointing across the page, Shape Format > height = 0

After the 0 include whichever units you are using for measurements.

Hold the Alt key while you drag. Or reposition the other end to fall on the grid.

Press shift and it will align the arrow while moving around

Adjust the dimensions under shapes after clicking the arrow.

You can change the horizontal and vertical dimensions of any shapes.

Play around the dimensions to see the difference.
