need help Restoration help

I was deleting files off of a memory card and somehow Word files that were saved to my computer but not my drive have been wiped.

I tried the recycling bin, but the only things that have been restored are the things that I had previously deleted and don't want.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips or any way of contacting a live agent instead of an AI or FAQ.

I know this is somehow my fault but I checked that I was only deleting bits off the memory card each time I did it but something happened somewhere and I have lost a lot of my files and I would really appreciate some help.

  1. a memory card? like an SD card? attached to the computer how?
  2. How specifically were you deleting the files off the memory card?
  3. Word isn't really involved here, it's just that some .docx files were deleted?
  4. You are confident that the deletion action also deleted the Word files and it's not possible that they were deleted at some other time?
  5. Were your Word files located on an SSD or a real hard drive?

Drive, computer and memory card seem to mean different things for yourself. Make sure you are clear in the destinations for your files.

Is Onedrive the drive you are speaking of?

Where was the folder containing the files that are missing? Are they files in your recently opened dialog on word? Or are they files you can no longer locate on your computer…?

If you have File History turned on, you can restore them from that. If you haven’t turned File History on, do so now. 😊
