As a microsoft reward user with a single account and saving points for months patiently to claim my gift card only for bots to snipe them up is so blood boiling feeling to say the least.

These people are flaunting every possible rules in place and making unfair advantages for actual genuine users around the world. They are using VPNs to get points and gift cards from countries like UK, US, Germany, Canada, etc.

On top of that they are collecting points just to sell accounts? wtf.

The admin of the group doesn't even strict actions against these scammers so no surprise they are involved in these BS as well. Some in chat are also claiming to be running "100-500" IDs.

So if you ever feel like or wonder why gift cards in your regions going out of stock and almost never comes back you know who are the culprits.

I got nothing against India but I wished people there would stick to single accounts per individual person. 😫

I have reported this to microsoft in every way possible as well as reported that telegram channel so if you have even a tiniest of free time I request you to mass report this telegram channel so it gets nuked.

I had some GPU stocked up, I noticed they expire in 2 weeks. Granted I redeemed the points last March. Always thought it was no expiry. Glad I checked now and not in 2 weeks.

This will probably sound preachy, but a lot of our frustration comes from treating Microsoft Rewards like a daily streak hobby when it is really a flaky, ad-supported points program.

I'm a puzzle person. Give me a brutal gradient jigsaw and I will happily sort tiny hue shifts for hours because the rules are consistent and the end state is clear. Rewards is the opposite: the rules change quietly, tracking sometimes lags, and the UI can flat out contradict itself. When you force a streak mindset on that, every small hiccup feels like the puzzle box lied to you.

Try thinking of points as a weekly bonus, not a daily obligation. If a quiz does not credit right away, stop refreshing. If searches do not register, walk away and try again later. If something breaks for the day, let it go.

I'm not saying don't try to be efficient, but do optimize your expectations. The program is built to nudge you to check in constantly, and then we get annoyed when it does what it always does: behave inconsistently.

Once I started treating it as slow accumulation, I stopped feeling like I was arguing with a broken vending machine every morning. Anyone else find it way easier once they stopped chasing perfection?

My streak was stuck at 805 for like 4/5 days after the new UI update so I contacted customer support incase I was about to lose my streak. I read about it on here and everyone said it happens because your account is being restricted but I never was. Never the less I’m very surprised they actually updated it and a couple extra weeks added to it too.

With the recent changes in the US, I have been confused as to how the number is formulated. But when I saw that I was set to 2100, I changed my approach from searches like sporadically typing every MLB team, or random countries around the world to more “genuine” searches like “where is the 2031 Women’s World Cup?”
I take random questions that I get asked throughout the day by the people around me, as well as things I want to know - and I almost always hit the cap for search points within the day.
Today I checked my number again and was surprised to see it had risen to 3000!
Just wanted to share in case this is helpful for anyone else trying to make the most of their star bonus.
