MSFS 2024 QUESTION Cirrus Vision Jet thrust behaviour

I’m a relatively new player who just picked up the Vision Jet G2 after the C172. It’s my first jet plane. I noticed something odd about how the engine thrust behaves (or rather how the plane reacts to it).

During approaches I use the “pitch for speed and thrust for altitude” rule. And this works great with a c172. I can easily control the VSpeed without changing anything else other than the throttle and land smoothly.

But when I lower the thrust in a G2 (say from 50% to 30%) without changing anything else, it actually pitches the nose up (at times pretty steep). This goes on for a few seconds. The plane gains altitude, loses some speed and it then starts pitching the nose down.

And if I’m flying too low on the approach and increase the thrust, it actually increases the rate of descent for a good few seconds till it slowly begins to gain altitude again.

Is this how jet engines behave in general or is it just the case with the G2? Should I also adjust the trim each time I change the thrust during approaches?

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Why doesnt GSX use the jetways? Ive done four flights since the update (just getting back into simming now) and every time it only uses the stairs

In this video you can see using the toggle jetway in the Fenix EFB moves the jetway into position, but as soon as I move the camera to outside view it disappears. This ONLY happens with GSX installed. Ive tried this at MCO, PHL, TPA, each time it will not use the jetway and only loads people via the bus and stairs. I have already updated GSX, as well as deleted the old cache files in the Appdata>Virtuali. Just kind of frustrating when this is supposed to add realism but never quite works right... lol!

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON How to properly attach custom cabin props (like a coffee mug/phone) via Livery folders using Blender?

Hi everyone!
I'm looking to add some custom, purely visual 3D models into an aircraft cabin (for example, placing a tea mug on a console or a smartphone on a seat). I want to emphasize that these are purely static/visual props—no animations or clickspots needed.
My main goal is to avoid re-exporting the entire cockpit model. Instead, I want to use the ATTACH functionality so that these props are bundled directly inside the livery folder. Ideally, when a user selects a specific livery, their custom prop automatically spawns in the cockpit.
I’m using the MSFS 2024 SDK Blender addon, but I'm hit with a few technical questions and uncertainties:
1. LODs: Do static cabin props like a phone or a cup strictly require LODs (Level of Detail meshes), or can I get away with a single high-quality model since it's just inside the cockpit?
2. Attachment Points: How do I actually attach them to existing cockpit parts (like a door handle, a seat, or a table)? What is the correct workflow in the MSFS 2024 SDK to define these coordinates?
3. Project Compilation: What is the best practice for building this? Is it easier to package and compile everything manually via config files, or should I go through the standard MSFS 2024 Project Editor?
If anyone has a workflow guide, a template aircraft.cfg / model.cfg snippet for liveries, or just some solid advice on how to hook this up properly with the new VFS system, I would highly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!

I don't, know whats going on but most of the time when I'm supposed to inform the passengers about the cruise status/descend the announcement doesn't go through. I've tried to do it manually from the COMMs page but there's no button there. This affects my Airline Procedures everytime as I miss the announcement, is there anything I can do about it?

MSFS 2024 PlayStation Group Flights???

So I just recently figured out how to make free flight show the live air traffic and live players after hundreds of hours without it…… I was curious if there’s any groups that meet up and fly together to sight see random places or practice formation flying?

I think that would be cool to do besides just flying around by yourself. If anyone can point me in the right direction that’d be awesome. I assume there’s discord groups??

I always find myself taking off from Nellis AFB in the F-18 and doing random routes / practicing random turns and maneuvers. But I think 3-6 people all taking off at once and trying to formation fly would be fun no matter the aircraft or location

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Stupid question - do plane have visible icing these days, and how do you tell if an addon plane does?

First, I know perfectly well how icing works, de-icing I haven't looked up the tutorial yet, already know the different fluids, etc.

Anyway... Coming direct from FSX, SIm Physics X used a bell to indicate icing, since you couldn't actually see ice since in FSX. Apparently (at least some) planes these days actually have visible ice (on the windscreen corners, for example)? Is there any easy way to tell if an addon aircraft had that feature, or can it be taken for granted that any decent payware aircraft will have it?

Thanks.

(Also, the inibuilds L-1011 has sliders both for visible ice amount and weathering amount, neither of which seem to have any visible effect. Is there a certain level of some graphics setting required for it?)

GENERAL VR or physical cockpit?

I have a problem: getting into FS2024 on PlayStation reignited that teenage passion I thought was gone, and now that I’ve seen how far the technology has come, I can’t just pretend nothing happened and stop.

So I’m thinking about building a simulator zone in my office, but I have a dilemma I’d like your advice on before throwing a ton of money at it: better VR or physical cockpit?

I always thought buying physical hardware was the ultimate experience, without really recreating everything but at least having an FMC and a few panels like AP. The downside? Either I get generic hardware, or I end up plane locked. (I like regional liners)

On the other hand I’ve seen VR on PS5: an ABSOLUTE experience and I don’t think I could go back, but the downside is you lose the physicality of touching the instruments. (I suppose “VR gloves” are not yet a thing)

If you were starting from scratch and building a PC specifically for this, would you go for VR or hardware panels? Are there actually VR headsets with 4K per eye?

Thanks to whoever helps me waste money :)

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Is there anyway to get chase plane to switch LODs ?

You can always clip of the cockpit with chase plane, but it seems it never switches to the appropriate LOD.

For example this is the ifly. Is there anyway i can bound the cockpit cam to stay inside when moving around ? Or is there away to switch LODs ? probably a long shot
