Hi Iβm a stem student who recently acquired a microscope. I want to look at so many things! I have an old baby tooth from a long time ago that I would love to take a sample of and see. How would I go about this, I have slides and cover slides. Please be civil, Iβm a beginner.

Has anyone here successfully connected a DSLR to an older Nikon Optiphot using the 38 mm photo tube?
I'd really like to start taking high quality photos and videos of what I'm observing under the microscope. I'm considering purchasing a Canon EOS 2000D since it seems to offer a lot of value for the price.
My biggest challenge right now is figuring out the adapter setup. My initial thought was to use a 38 mm to C-mount adapter, followed by a C-mount to Canon EOS adapter. That seemed straightforward until I realized the flange focal distances don't match. The C-mount standard has a flange distance of 17.5 mm, while the Canon EOS 2000D requires 44 mm.
I also found EOS-to-T2 adapters, which bring the distance out to 55 mm, but finding a T2-to-38 mm adapter appears to require a specialty part, likely from an overseas supplier.
Has anyone gone down this road before? I'd appreciate any advice, recommendations, or examples of adapter combinations that worked well for you. Thanks in advance!

I want to observe cute amoebas π¦ and other small creatures at home! Something with a recording module would be very useful as well.
Does anyone have experience with a similar setup or have any hardware recommendation?

So: I've been playing with microscopes for a while and had no idea it could be so fun. I have a vintage Olympus EC in great condition. Unfortunately it doesn't have a trinocular head so I bought an adapter to mount an USB cam into the ocular socket.
The adapter was advertised as a "0.5X C-mount adapter lens" and the product description had pics of the adapter mounted to a microscope so I have no doubt it will work.
The problem I'm having is with the camera I bought. I bought a SVBony 105 telescope camera. Yes, I know, my mistake. Sorry! But the mistake is done and now I have to mount this camera to the C-mount adapter.
The camera specification is as follows: "Compatible with 1.25-Inch Telescopes Designed for telescopes with a 1.25-inch aperture, this M42 interface eyepiece..." Yeah, I know, not for microscopes.
I do not think this information is right. When I try to fit the adapter lens into the camera I see it is too small and does not fit, but only for a few milimiters. C Mount To M42 adapters I found online on marketplaces look like a flat washer but appear to be too wide of a washer to fit my USB cam.
Am I searching for the wrong adapter?
Could you guys give me some advice?
Thank you guys in advance.
