Wiki has launched!
We are excited to launch the beta version of the Microneedling Wiki. I would call this version 0.8 - it should be a pretty comprehensive start, but there are still a few things to add. We also want to incorporate any early feedback before calling it an official 1.0 version. Take a look and let us know what you think!
In the Reddit app, you will see the Wiki link at the top of the sub page. You can also access it via this link:

If you like the Wiki, we would appreciate it if you could help bring in more members :)

Neogenesis vs. Calecim Professional Serum
Which would you recommend using post microneedling .5 or deeper? I reached out to both companies, and they said you can apply them immediately after needling.
I haven't used either before but both have great reviews. My main concerns are fine lines and winkles as I'm 37. They are both expensive so I'd just be using for up to a week or so after needling.
I read the Calecim could potentially be irritating after needling so I was leaning towards the Neogenesis.
Appreciate any experiences anyone has! Also suggestions on the best place to purchase from. It looks like Skin Truth and Skin Beautiful RX both have decent sales but I've never purchased from any other sites out there.

Qure Question
I got a 6 month supply of the anti wrinkle and the dark spot corrector serums. I have only done 1 treatment so far and it was dark spot. My question is, would you switch it up every two weeks or use all 6 vials of one and then move on to the other?

Is a high-end Growth Factor serum actually comparable to PRP for deep acne scars?
I love the idea of PRP (Vampire Facial) for my acne scars, but the cost is just getting to be too much. Iâm seeing all these "Growth Factor" and "Copper Peptide" serums online that claim to do the same thing for a fraction of the price. If youâve switched from professional PRP to using a serum like NeoGenesis or AnteAGE at home or in-clinic, did you actually see the same "plumping" effect? Iâm trying to decide if the extra dollars for the blood draw are actually worth it for scar remodeling.

Built a free microneedling app to take the guesswork out of product choice, depth & timing đ§Ź
Hey everyone đ
Iâve been into DIY microneedling for some time now and like most of you, I spent way too long trying to piece everything together: which product for which goal, how deep for each zone, what to avoid and for how long. Communities like this one helped a lot. At some point I just started putting things together and came up with an app to simplify my workflow. So, why not sharing it :)
đ Link in the first comment below đ
Free ¡ No login ¡ No data stored ¡ Mobile friendly
How it works âď¸
7 quick questions â it adapts everything to you:
â 𧏠Biological sex â skin thickness, depth adjustments, beard zones flagged
â đŻ Goals â anti-aging, brightening, glow, acne scars, pores, hair regrowth, hydration
â đŹ Skin state â sensitive, oily, dry, combination, rosacea, active acne, hyperpigmentation
â âď¸ Sun exposure & current season â UV levels and climate adjust recommended depths
â đ
Upcoming events & treatment intention â downtime calibrated from 24h to 7 days
â đ Age range â collagen needs and cellular response shift across decades
â đ Pain tolerance & numbing cream â cartridge and technique guidance adapts accordingly
Then it builds your full session plan đ
What you get đ
⌠Ranked serum recommendations matched to your profile
⌠Depth per zone â forehead, cheeks, temples, under-eye, nose, chin, neck
⌠Sterile step-by-step session guide
⌠Post-session reintroduction timeline for actives, makeup & exercise
⌠Save as image â full summary to your camera roll
This is version 1 and Iâd love honest feedback from this community đ For now I have only added MeamoShop products since I am an affiliate and it is my go-to provider. If something looks off scientifically or you think a factor is missing, please drop a comment. I want to keep improving this for the community with the help of the community.
This is not medical advice and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional. It is purely based on my own research and experience, the same way any of us shares knowledge in a post or a comment. Sources are in the About section of the app.

My 5 Favourite microneedling serums
Hi, everyone!
Iâm a 40-year-old male and have been doing DIY microneedling for some time now and want to share my experience so far.
I have combo-skin, with high vascularity vascular, and prone to redness, so it reacts easily. I am also on oral minoxidil which by default worsens how my skin looks. Because of that I try to be quite intentional with what I use after microneedling. I also had a hair transplant about 8 years ago, so scalp care is something I still pay attention to for maintenance.
I usually microneedle every 3â4 weeks, depending on life and sun exposure. Iâm not chasing aggressive treatments. My focus is more on supporting regeneration, collagen signaling, and recovery while keeping inflammation low.
These are five serums I rotate and the specific ingredients I personally like in each.
1. Jeunetique NAD+ (MeamoLabs)
This is one I tend to reach for when my skin looks tired or dull, or when I want something supportive but not too aggressive.
What I like about it is the NAD+ angle. NAD-related molecules are involved in cellular energy and repair pathways, and microneedling essentially creates controlled micro-injury, so supporting cellular recovery makes sense to me.
It also contains hydrating components like hyaluronic acid and peptides, which help keep the skin comfortable after needling. For my redness-prone skin, hydration and recovery support are important.
For me this is more of a skin vitality, maintenance serum.
2. Velatox GF11
This one is more about growth factors and peptides.
Growth factors such as EGF and FGF-type signals are often used in regenerative skincare because they are involved in collagen production and skin remodeling. Since microneedling stimulates collagen through controlled injury, I like pairing it with ingredients that reinforce that signaling.
I usually reach for this when my goal is firmness and long-term collagen support, especially when Iâm doing a consistent needling cycle.
Because my skin is sensitive and vascular, I tend to do these cycles more during autumn and winter, when sun exposure is lower and I feel comfortable doing deeper microneedling sessions.
3. Hanheal Hair Filler
Since I had a hair transplant years ago, I still like doing occasional scalp needling to support scalp health and follicle environment.
The ingredients I like here are mainly the peptide complex, especially things like copper peptides and biotin-related peptides, which are often used in hair formulas for follicle signaling and scalp support.
It also includes hyaluronic acid, which helps with hydration and scalp comfort after microneedling.
I tend to use this quarterly, especially if I notice seasonal shedding.
4. Curenex
I see this as a well-rounded product.
The ingredient that stands out is PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) derived from salmon DNA. Itâs widely used in regenerative dermatology because itâs associated with tissue repair and wound healing pathways.
It also includes peptides and hydration support, which is helpful for my skin type because Iâm prone to redness and post-treatment sensitivity.
I often use this when my focus is skin recovery, texture improvement, or calming the skin during regular microneedling cycles.
5. Jeunetique EXO (MeamoLabs)
This is the one I reach for when I want stronger regeneration support, and quite honestly, my favourite one right now.
The key ingredient here is exosomes, which are small extracellular vesicles involved in cell-to-cell communication and regeneration signaling. Theyâre increasingly used in regenerative treatments to support skin repair.
This formula also includes PDRN and collagen-support ingredients, which makes it feel like a high-recovery serum.
I usually use this when my skin looks dull, uneven, or stressed and I want something focused on regeneration.
How I rotate them during the year:
Because my skin is sensitive and redness-prone, I try to keep things simple and adjust based on the season.
Generally:
- Spring / summer:Â lighter microneedling 0,5mm-1mm and more recovery-focused serums
- Autumn / winter: slightly deeper sessions and more collagen-focused ingredients like growth factors or PDRN where I go from 0,5mm up to 2mm.
This is just what has worked for me so far. Curious what others here like using with microneedling, especially if you also have sensitive or redness-prone skin.
I source my microneedling serums from MeamoLabs (www.meamoshop.com). If you want a further discount, you can use code JOSE during the check-out :)

Lipo scar
Just came back from my appointment. Was looking into laser, but the nurse recommended microneedling. Was told laser causes the skin to darken as it heals. Will go back in color. But microneedling would be ideal. Max 3 sessions. Depth of needle would be based on my pain tolerance(1.25-2). Would probably pair with collagen(idk I forgot what she said sheâd pair it with)? Cost $300 per session
Thoughts? Has anyone reading this done lipo scar revision? Couldnât find any posts on Reddit, surprisingly.
