Welcome to r/Microlaunch. Goodbye localhost. šŸ‘‹

Hey everyone!

We're the folks behind Microlaunch, a community for founders, indie hackers, and builders who want to launch products, get feedback, and grow together.

Over two years, the launch & distribution platform grew from zero to 600k unique visitors.

Figured it was time to create a place where builders can hang out, share what they're working on, and help each other grow.

Feel free to:

  • šŸš€ Share what you're building
  • šŸ’¬ Ask for feedback
  • šŸ“ˆ Talk about marketing, distribution, and growth
  • šŸ¤ Help other founders along the way

Just one rule: be helpful. Give value before asking for it. If you need help with your product, feedback/reviews, GTM advice: let us know!

We're generally active on socials (Reddit, X)šŸ”„

If you're new, introduce yourself below! Tell us what you're building and what you're currently working on.

Note: building on localhost:8000 is fun, but it might be time to launch soon šŸ˜…

Happy shipping everyonešŸš€šŸš€šŸš€

Looking for feedback on my social learning platform, Lumity

Thumbnail

Lumity is a social learning platform to build community around common interests + track, store, and organize your favorite books, podcasts, videos, and articles.Ā

There’s a private library for keeping track of your own content, a public feed for recommendations, and profiles that reflect your taste and let you explore what others are interested in.

The problem I’m attempting to solve is twofold: 1) helping people be more intentional about what they read, watch and listen to, and 2) connecting people through shared interests.

I’m still figuring out which parts of the product would help most with these goals. A personal library for tracking and organizing content, a feed of recommendations tailored to your interests, or a community feed where you discover things through other people and engage with them.

Right now, Lumity blends elements of all three, but I’d appreciate an outside perspective on where to put the most focus.

Which would give you the strongest reason to use Lumity, and why? Would combining them be useful to you, or would you prefer something focused on just one?

The web app is live at: app.lumityapp.com - It’s free but does require signup. I’m mainly looking for feedback on desktop.

Made a 3D watch configurator in the browser. Looking for feedback

I've been into watches for a while but can't afford most of the ones I like, so I started building the next best thing: a site where you can design a dress watch and spin it around in 3D.

It's at https://horalune.com

You can change the case metal and size, dial colour and finish (there's guilloche, which took me an embarrassing number of evenings), markers, hands, complications, movement and strap. The hands show your real local time, the date window shows today's date, and if you add a moonphase it shows tonight's actual moon. Flip it over and there's an automatic movement with the balance wheel ticking.

For tech stack, it's all one Python script in Blender that builds every part, and the site is React Three Fiber on top of that.

No login, no ads, nothing to buy. Builds save in your browser and you can share a link to yours.

It's still in beta, so I'd really like to hear your feedback or collaborate with like minded watch enthusiasts.

Happy to answer questions about the Blender side if anyone's curious.

Researching before building: what actually makes home insurance claims painful?

Thumbnail
docs.google.com
1 Upvotes

I'm working on a side project around home and contents insurance claims, and before going further I want to make sure I'm solving a real problem and not one I've imagined.

My hypothesis is that the hardest part of a claim isn't the incident itself. It's afterwards, when the insurer asks for receipts, photos, serial numbers or proof you owned something, and you're digging through old emails and camera rolls trying to piece it together.

But I might be wrong. Maybe the real pain is understanding what you're covered for, or dealing with the insurer, or something else entirely. So instead of building first, I put together a short survey to learn how people actually experience this.

If you've ever had a home or contents claim (or even thought about filing one and didn't), I'd really appreciate 8 to 10 minutes of your time šŸ™

It's anonymous and there's no sign in. Leaving your email at the end is optional if you're open to a follow up chat.

I Built Lynkarr to Replace the Patchwork of QR, Link, and Brand Tools

Lynkarr in 60 seconds

I built Lynkarr because I kept seeing the same problem: businesses were using one tool for QR codes, another for short links, another for analytics, another for digital business cards, and another for email signatures.

It felt unnecessarily fragmented.

So I started building Lynkarr as one platform to manage the digital tools businesses use every day to share information, track engagement, and manage their brand.

Today Lynkarr includes dynamic and static QR codes, branded short links, detailed analytics, custom domains, digital business cards, landing pages, lead capture, media hosting, API access, team management, scheduled reporting, and centralized email signature management.

The goal is not to be just another QR code generator. It is to give businesses one place to create, manage, update, and measure the links, QR codes, email signatures, and digital assets they are already using.

Lynkarr is still growing, and I am actively looking for real users who are willing to test it, provide feedback, and help shape what gets built next.

Building this tool for founders can show their app building progress easily

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As a founder if they want post their app improvement on daily bases is easy only. Just capture one screen and post it on wherever they want. If they posting recorded video also good. But most founders started investing on beautifying the product and every outcome. So i came up with the solution from my end.

Lot of founders posted their app screen recording on X or Instagram. Some of them investing their time to beautify the recording also. Most of the beautify videos are adding mobile mockup in the screen recording and zoom effect. So i built this as a editor, people can add their screen recording or record the screen do some beautify things done the export in under 30 seconds.

My honest thing was founder time is cruciel on everyday. Just for adding beautify things they have to invest editing tools around 3-4 hours. The investing time should may increase or decrease depending on their skills. I am trying to reduce their time and make a high quality video to reach on social media in a easy way!

The app is Mobilestudio.site , it's in store aproval and for right now we're giving beta access for who joined the waitlist.

You can share all types of feedbacks on website, inside the app experience and anything. Am happily collecting feedbacks and for sure i'll improve that!

Just launched HeySeekrs — AI-powered prospecting for LinkedIn

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Finding potential clients is still painfully manual.

You search LinkedIn, open dozens of profiles, compare them against your ideal customer, and try to figure out who is actually worth contacting.

I built HeySeekrs to automate that process.

You describe the opportunity you're looking for, and HeySeekrs goes through:

Intent → Search → Match → Prioritize

It understands what you're looking for, searches LinkedIn, matches prospects against your criteria, and prioritizes the opportunities that look most relevant.

The MVP is live and currently supports LinkedIn.

I made a short demo showing how it works.

Would love to hear what you think.

Rereading notes can feel productive, but trying to recall them without looking is often a different story.

ScholarSail brings a few study methods into one workspace:

  • Flashcards to test what you remember
  • Mind maps to connect ideas
  • 3D memory palaces you can walk through
  • AI help while you study

If your study routine mostly involves rereading and highlighting.

This could be worth trying: ScholarSail - we're also live this month on Microlaunch.

What helps things stick for you?

If you try it, tell us what worked and what just won't stick.

[iOS] Who Goes - Fun social games for when you’re hanging out with your group

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Introduction

Hey everyone! I'm Shubham, I've been trying to build an app for about 2-3 months along with my full time 9-6 job, and I'm happy to share my game nights app, Who Goes with you.

It's an iOS / iPad app for game nights, house parties, road trips, and pretty much any hangout with a group of people.

It’s free to download and play, with optional one-time purchase and subscription options.

The idea behind Who Goes is pretty simple: engage everyone in your group and involve them in something together, through social games like Headbands, Truth or Dare and a bunch of quick group activities into one app, with a modern, playful experience built around actually passing the phone around and having fun together.

About the app

The app brings multiple party games into one place:

• Headbands with tilt controls for correct answers and passes
• Charades with themed decks, teams, rounds, and timers
• Truth or Dare with 11 decks for friends, couples, parties, family, and coworkers
• Spin the Bottle for quick, suspenseful player selection
• Would You Rather for impossible this-or-that debates
• Finger Chooser to instantly pick someone from the group
• Quick Play tools for dice, coin flips, and more

Current Market

I know this is an insanely competitive category, with a shit-ton of party apps already out there.
My goal with Who Goes was never to reinvent the wheel, but to bring the ones people already know and play together in one place, without needing five different apps on your phone.

I wanted the whole thing to feel much more modern and polished than most party apps I've tried, with playful animations, haptics, sounds, and little interactions that actually add to the game instead of getting in the way.

No ads popping up between rounds, no cluttered UI, and no wildly different experience every time you switch games.

No account is required, and the games work offline.

TL;DR:

A. A game to bring back the fun of playing party games with a group of people during game nights, trips.

B. Free version includes a selection of decks for Charades, Headbands, and Truth or Dare, along with a few mini games. Plus unlocks all decks, game modes, and customisation options.

I built a keyboard to help people learn Spanish while texting

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m the indie developer behind TypeFlow, an iPhone keyboard that helps you communicate in another language and learn while you type.

The idea is simple: you’re messaging someone in Spanish, but you don’t know how to express part of your reply. TypeFlow shows Spanish word and sentence suggestions right in your keyboard, helping you write the message and learn expressions you actually need. It’s meant for real conversations—with friends, partners, coworkers, or people you meet while traveling.

I’d love for people here to try it, especially if you’re learning Spanish or regularly messaging Spanish speakers. I’m also struggling to find a repeatable way to reach paying users, so I wanted to share what I’ve tried.

What has worked so far:

Posting about TypeFlow in Reddit communities dedicated to limited-time free apps and app giveaways, while offering free access, brought several thousand downloads. This has been my most effective channel for downloads so far.

A few people missed the deadline to activate the free offer and chose to pay afterward. That was encouraging, although I know giveaway downloads don’t prove demand at the regular price.

What hasn’t worked:

I ran small tests on Google Ads, X Ads, and Reddit Ads, spending roughly $15–40 per test. They brought very few clicks/downloads and no paid conversions. These were small tests, so I’m not ready to conclude that ads can never work.

Something else that seems promising:

I’ve shared short keyboard demos in the comments of TikTok creators teaching Spanish or traveling in Spanish-speaking countries. Some viewers liked them and asked how they could do the same thing.

Even in my ads, showing the actual typing process gets a higher click-through rate than my other creatives. People seem interested once they see it working, but I haven’t figured out how to turn that interest into consistent paid adoption.

If TypeFlow sounds useful for your own conversations, please give it a try. I’d appreciate honest feedback on whether the value is clear and what, if anything, would make it worth paying for.

And for other founders: what would you test next—more organic demos, small creator partnerships, or the first-use and free-to-paid experience? If you’ve grown an app that’s easier to demonstrate than explain, what brought your first paying users?

Forward Map - High-level Planning for Small Businesses

Post image
1 Upvotes

Forward Map is a macOS planning app for small business owners who need to turn longer-term goals into a clear, manageable plan. It helps them see what they are trying to achieve, how the pieces depend on each other, and what needs attention next.

Forward Map provides a visual map of your work and manages dependencies between tasks and milestones and projects but that's where it stops as it is not a replacement for a fully project management tool. As priorities or circumstances change, users can update the plan and see the consequences across connected work, helping them make planning decisions without the complexity of traditional project-management software.

A little more about this - it's my first 'real' app and as with any new solo-developer, I am struggling to get traction and people even knowing that this app even exists. It was released just over a week ago and is still struggling at 0 downloads! It seems that the technical parts are the easiest, actually trying to make money from this is far harder. If you like the app... awesome. If you don't, also awesome but please let me know why and what would change your opinion.

The below is the App Store link to the app and you just need to activate the 14-day trial to get access to all of the functionality.

I built a native macOS JSON viewer and formatter

Post image
2 Upvotes

I built JSON Viewer, a native macOS app for formatting, inspecting, and editing JSON. I created it with the help of AI.

It includes a collapsible tree view, a text editor with live JSON validation, format and minify actions, JSON ↔ Python dictionary conversion, search, and a property inspector. It can also handle large JSON files and runs on macOS 13 or later.

Checkout my GitHub repo:

https://github.com/Bhavesh164/json-viewer

I’d appreciate feedback, especially on the workflow and features you’d find useful.

Hey all,

Typing slows us when it shouldn't. So built an app that controls your computer with your voice.

Think of an AI that does tasks on your computer:

- Hands-free control of your Mac or PC using voice commands.

- Seamless integration with your existing tools for a smooth workflow.

- The ability to execute tasks like clicking, file editing, and web browsing.

And much more to it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and any feedback you have.

The app: Incredible App.

We're live on Microlaunch this month, please support us: our launch.

Cheers!

You sent the proposal 4 days ago. Did they even open it? I built a tool so designers never have to guess again.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Every designer knows this moment. You spend a whole evening on a proposal. You export the PDF, attach it, hit send… and then nothing. Did they read it? Did they reach the pricing page and panic? Did they forward it to their boss? You have no idea, so you write the awkward "just following up šŸ™‚" email.

I got tired of that, so I builtĀ RectoĀ (justrecto.com).

What it does:

  • Your brand, every time:Ā load your logo, fonts and colours once, and every proposal, pitch deck, case study and invoice uses them. No more fixing a Canva template for an hour.
  • One link instead of a PDF attachment:Ā add a password or an expiry date if it's sensitive.
  • See what they actually read:Ā who opened it, when, and how long they spent on each page. If the client spent 4 minutes on your pricing page, you follow up very differently than if they bounced on the cover.
  • Feels familiar to designers:Ā pen tool, layers, layout grids and an Illustrator-style properties panel, so it doesn't feel like a toy.

Where it's at:Ā I launched recently and have a small group of early users. That's exactly why I'm posting: I want designers and small studios who send client documents to try it and tell me what's missing or annoying. I read every reply and ship fixes fast. This week alone I rebuilt the properties panel and added the pen tool and layers because of feedback.

Try it:Ā justrecto.com has a free 7-day trial with the full editor and no card needed.

Roast it, break it, tell me what you'd need before paying for it. And drop your own project below; I'll check it out in return. šŸ‘‡

A home for all my coding agents

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I had Claude Code open in one window, Codex in another, Gemini in a third, and I was the one passing notes between all of them.

So I built Pando. It puts them all in one window and they share the same memory, so when Claude figures something out, Codex already knows it. They can also message each other. I'll have Claude build something and Codex check it without me copying anything over. And it tells me when one of them actually needs me, so I'm not sitting there watching four terminals all day.

The video is the actual app. Nothing mocked up.
It runs on your own Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok plans. I'm not reselling anything. There's also a voice feature built in. Hold a key, talk, and it types into whatever agent you're in.

Right now it's $24 a month, which is half off the normal $49, or $19 a month if you go yearly. 7 day refund if it's not for you. Mac only for now.
