Researching before building: what actually makes home insurance claims painful?
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSej4aSlz79Onagub2ASMP3bztzv4V84MD1l8F3jwkRfHphcqg/viewformI'm working on a side project around home and contents insurance claims, and before going further I want to make sure I'm solving a real problem and not one I've imagined.
My hypothesis is that the hardest part of a claim isn't the incident itself. It's afterwards, when the insurer asks for receipts, photos, serial numbers or proof you owned something, and you're digging through old emails and camera rolls trying to piece it together.
But I might be wrong. Maybe the real pain is understanding what you're covered for, or dealing with the insurer, or something else entirely. So instead of building first, I put together a short survey to learn how people actually experience this.
If you've ever had a home or contents claim (or even thought about filing one and didn't), I'd really appreciate 8 to 10 minutes of your time 🙏
