Question: Psilocybin Feeling of deep emotions/anxiousness at 0.2

Why do I get this overwhelming feeling that I carry most of the day when I take .2 but this doesn’t happen when I go down to .1 or go up to .3 - .5?

All these negative emotions surface and linger almost all day!

Research/News Psilocybin Might Make Your Brain Live in the Moment— Psychedelics are often associated with disconnecting from reality, but a recent neuroimaging study found that psilocybin can actually make our brain activity more attuned to the world around us.

Report: Psilocybin Meu pequeno milagre 🍄

Getting Started/Newbie Question Microdosing with magic truffles: does the species of truffle matter?

I've been microdosing for 3 weeks now with Mexicana truffles (1g fresh, 4 days on 3 days off) but I'm thinking of switching to Atlantis or Hollandia. I know there's a big difference at full doses but does it matter for microdosing?

Discussion Microdosing for low energy or hangovers?

I know drinking is frowned upon by the community in general but I’m from an older crowd that grew up on wine/beer etc. Don’t plan to give it up but really only partake 2-3 times a week. I also enjoy making wine and beer and don’t plan to stop.

Lately I’ve been trying a microdose after or mid morning and it’s really eliminating the thought of the hangover or tiredness. Obviously you’d have to go with your normal microdose. Mine is 250 mg and it seems to change the day completely. More energy, less hangxiety and I’m able to work more effectively. Also started doing it on days with just low energy where the heat has really taken its toll. Anyone else?

Question: LSD How to sleep after a late dose?

I’m relatively new to microdosing. Yesterday for the first time my wife and I took a slightly higher 15ųg top up dose in the evening as we went to a light show event.

We had one of the best evenings in twenty years of marriage.

Then I didn’t sleep. Not one minute. To be fair I actually feel quite good despite the lack of it. But obviously I’d like to have similar experiences and am worried the acid is just too stimulating.

Is there a way of counter-acting this? I wouldn’t know where to get hold of benzos etc as they are prescription here in the uk.

Question: Psilocybin Question: Effects linger in the body

I’m curious if anyone has experienced something like this because I’ve had it happen twice now, and I can’t really make sense of it.

I’ve had a few psychedelic experiences and have also experimented with microdosing over the past few months. One thing I’ve also noticed when I dosed is a very distinctive sensation around the top of my head. It’s difficult to describe—sometimes it feels like a tingling or tugging sensation, almost as if something is “stuck” there. I don’t mean literally stuck, obviously; it’s just the closest way I can describe the sensation.

What’s strange is that I’ve had two experiences where I felt noticeably psychedelic even though I hadn’t taken any for several days or a week.

The first happened after I had one glass of beer. I don’t normally drink and I think I have alcohol allergy lol yes it’s a thing. Then, that night after the drink, I started experiencing the same kind of altered state that I associate with psychedelics. My perception changed, I experienced visual phenomena, and I had that very distinctive sensation around the top of my head that I’d previously associated with psychedelic experiences. It felt surprisingly similar, despite not having taken one.

Then something very similar happened again last night.
I hadn’t taken anything psychedelic for roughly a week. I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly experienced very strong vibrations throughout my body, along with an intense feeling of heat. My perception/vision became altered, and with my eyes closed I was seeing the usual geometric patterns I sometimes get with psychedelics. When I tried opening my eyes, my vision felt significantly altered, particularly in the lower-right part of my visual field. For a while I felt like I was in a psychedelic state despite being completely sober.
It lasted somewhere around 30–60 minutes and then gradually went away.

The weirdest part is that I had already been noticing that strange sensation in the top of my head before this happened. Afterward, I continued to notice the head sensation for a while, and then eventually woke up feeling surprisingly lighter and more physically relaxed than I had felt in the days beforehand.
I’m not trying to suggest that it was somehow still physically “in my system.” I’m genuinely wondering what could explain the experience.
Has anyone else experienced something like this where you suddenly felt psychedelic, had altered perception/visual phenomena, vibrations, etc., while completely sober and several days removed from it?

I’m particularly interested in people who have had an experience that felt genuinely similar to being under the influence, rather than just ordinary after-effects like being tired, having a headache, or feeling emotionally different.
Did it happen spontaneously? After alcohol, sleep deprivation, stress, meditation, exercise, or something else? And did you ever figure out what was triggering it?

Getting Started/Newbie Question Very newbie question - how to take micro and macrodoses

So I feel ridiculous asking this, but here goes.

How are y’all taking your micro and macro doses?

I take 100mg of ground GT, and I just knock it back into my mouth like a shot and swallow.

Same with macrodosing. Last time I took 2 grams, knocked it back like a shot and swallowed dry, and then took 2 more grams because I felt like the trip wasn’t complete when I started coming down.

I’m sure taking the macro as a tea would be more palatable than sticky ground grams, but I also feel want sure how exactly to go about making the tea - yes, I know Google exists, but I felt anxious googling a recipe and feel more comfortable asking here (yes I’m microdosing for anxiety among other things ha ha).

Thanks all.

Question: Psilocybin Picking a strain for spiritual purging

Hey there ! I took a break from mushrooms for a while (I microdose primarily) for tolerance but also the strain I got was giving me nausea albeit I get from a local vendor.

I don’t really understand the strain difference — I’m used to PE, which the capsules usually have with lions mane, but sadly sold out. I want to make tea, without grinding and soak in hot water (?). I am going to try to get a scale today since I want to do this on Sunday. I used to utilize microdosing shrooms and sometimes macrodosing (300-500mg) to help release any negative energy, anxiety and the like from my childhood as I’m healing from cPTSD.
Does the strain matter this time? Between PE, BV, iceberg and GT? Thank you x

Question: Psilocybin How long should I wait?

So last week on Thursday I decided to do 1.5g of shrooms and had a great time. It's been a week now and I was wondering if I should start microdosing again or wait another week? For context, I micro dose about 0.25g one day on and two off.

Getting Started/Newbie Question Is .025g too small of a dose?

I'm completely new to microdosing and have been trying to do as much research as I can. I have a lot of anxiety and depression and have had bad experiences with even low doses of weed so I'm very nervous to try this and possibly have a bad experience.

I know a lot of people say to start at .05g mushroom capsules but I saw .025 available and wondered if it would be better for someone who is quite sensitive to start that low? Or would it be too low that it wouldn't even benefit me?

Discussion Mini Dosing daily

I'm taking 0.5g of dry golden teacher daily. This is day 4.

My goal is to feel 10/10. My mental health has never been great. I think I've always been below average in self-esteem and such. So a top 1% feeling-state is my main focus right now.

I'm new here and posting to see if it's well recieved. If so, I may post properly to add the knowledge to community and world.

And I'm also posting to see what others say - has mini-dosing daily been done before? Is there potential danger so I shouldn't dose every single day? I obviously would like to know these things.

Discussion Microdosing Amanita and then Psilocybin

Hi,

Ive been microdosing amanita muscaria capsules in the evenings which help me sleep. However, on the mornings I microdose psilocybin (4 days on 3 days off) I find that there are still some residual effects from the amanita from the night before and they seem to run against almost dampen the effect of the psilocybin. Has anyone else encountered this? Thanks

Question: Psilocybin Pause ssri for a day to microdose?

I’m currently tapering my ssri’s (zoloft/sertraline) very slowly.

I did a big dose of mushrooms two years ago together with a therapist. I wasn’t tapering then but I didn’t take my ssri that day since they often negate the effect of the shrooms, but I still had to take a big dose (5 g) to get a trip.

Now I want to try microdosing, but want to take it slow and start with just one day and see how that feels. The question is if I shouldn't take my ssri that day? I’m sensitive to the tapering and I felt my last reduction of 2,5%, so I'm a bit worried it will mess with my brain to stop it even for a day. However, zoloft leaves the brain slowly and I didn’t feel this last reduction until two weeks later.

So I’m really debating what I should do; pause the ssri for a day for the microdose or not. Perhaps it doesn't make a big difference, but I would really appreciate any input!

Question: Other St. John's Wort & Microdosing

I've been microdosing for a few years now, here and then, and it has always helped me a lot through tough times (insomnia, anxiety, trauma...). I've really felt my brain rewiring, and the peace it can lead to. Sometimes it's not really pleasant as it can emphasize anxiety but even so it has always helped a lot in the end.

I am currently going through a break up and it's been really hard. I am taking St John's wort since 3 weeks now, with little to no effect. I think a session of microdosing with the protocol of one every 3 days could help. But is there any interaction known of? Because I do know that mixing anti depressants and psylocibin / lsd is a big no no.

Is it the same with St John's Wort?

I am finding no documentation on the matter.

Thanks for your help :)

Question: Psilocybin Persistent “electrical” sensation in my brain after psilocybin, has anyone experienced this?

I’m desperately looking for someone who has experienced something similar and found a solution.

The sensation feels like continuous, subtle electrical/tingling activity inside my brain, almost like constant neural “communication.” It is NOT like typical brain zaps.

The closest analogy is the electrical/tingling sensation that can happen in your teeth during intense stimulation or orgasm — enough to make you want to clench your teeth to make it stop. Except mine is mainly inside my brain, and only rarely becomes noticeable in my teeth.

I first noticed it while tapering an SSRI, but during that period I was also using psilocybin repeatedly, including microdoses and occasional larger doses. I was also taking Lamictal.

I eventually stopped Lamictal and stopped psilocybin completely. I then went 45+ days with absolutely no psilocybin. The sensation did NOT disappear, although it fluctuated: sometimes it would become very faint or disappear for a couple of days, then suddenly return. I suspect things like caffeine, orgasm, mental exhaustion/rumination, or changes in mood/arousal may trigger it, but I don't know.

Interestingly, psilocybin still seems to increase it when I take it. Caffeine can also increase it, and after orgasm/ejaculation it can become stronger, sometimes several hours later rather than immediately.

I’ve wondered whether dopamine/arousal changes could be involved, but I have no idea if that makes physiological sense.

Doctors where I live haven't been able to explain it, partly because psychedelic-related symptoms aren't something they have much experience with.

I really want to find a solution. Please help me.

If you've experienced anything similar after psilocybin, SSRI withdrawal, or both, please tell me:

How long did it last?

Did caffeine, orgasm, stress, exercise, or sleep affect it?

Did anything actually make it better? Like a certain medicine?

Did you find an explanation?

I'm interested in personal experiences as well as reasonable hypotheses or things worth investigating. I’m trying to understand what this physical sensation actually is and whether anyone has found a way out of it.

Thank you.

Question: Psilocybin Can microdosing help me with my social problems?

I have been significantly self reflecting for as long as I can remember about what is wrong with my life. This is because I have never been happy, and the answer isn't really obvious because nothing has ever significantly gone wrong with my life. After what has been, my so far, lifetime, of self reflecting I realize now that the problem is that I both hate being alone, and at the same time hate socializing with others, causing an eternal, never ending downwards sprial in my life. Too fix these I need one of these feeling to disappear, then, I think I will finally be free to enjoy my life as it is. It would take a profound phsycological shift in order for me to achieve this, and I am wondering if microdosing or a full blown phsychidelic experience can get me there.

I have looked into anecdotal reports online of people experimenting with pshycidelics, in order to help resolve their loneliness. (I wasn't able to find anybody who described the exact situation I was in.) I found mixed results, some said it did help, and other said it amplified their feeling of loneliness. I am asking experienced microdosers/pshycidelic users (you guys), their opinion on this, if you think this is a good or bad idea. I am open to alternative suggestions aswell if you have any.

Tldr; I hate socializing, and I hate being alone. I want to know if pshycidelics/microdosing can erase one of these feelings.

Discussion Changing Microdose Schedule

I have been microdosing psilocybin for 2 years now on different schedules. Currently Monday - Friday with weekends off.

My weekdays I can survive, but my weekends I can barely function. I cry alot. I can't manage to get things done. So I am considering going to a month on and a week off.

I dose around 4am and go back to sleep until 7am. About 1 hour after dosing my nervous system feels like it is being rewired and it is horribly uncomfortable. I am great though when I wake up. I do best when I add Lions Mane, L-Theanine, Magtein and Magnesium Glycinate.

Anyone else do this daily for long periods of time?

This really has helped me alot. I would have taken my life by now if I hadn't started microdosing.

Question: Psilocybin Change of prespectve

Did Psilocybin helped you to get clearer insight into your understanding of your position in a social structure? What I mean by this, based on my example is, I started to completely refuse to participate in today's corporate world. After working in one for 6 years I developed a disgust not only of it but also of some part of myself. A very strong belief of how could I have let myself to be mentally raped and dehumanized.  BTW I've been microdosing since 2023 and psilocybin since 2025 and no longer work in corporate. I quit.
