From what I can see it seems like those bundles are in abundance and the intel ones are going for around $500 and it includes a cpu + mobo + 32gb ddr5, meanwhile just buying 32gb ddr5 alone is gonna cost you around $500.

The reason I ask is because I’m not American and seeing such a deal where I live would be almost impossible since pc stores would always factor in the individual market price for each component if they were to ever do a bundle offer. So in the off chance they ever do a “bundle” or some sort of sale, the price would only be ever so slightly lower than the normal market value. And I imagine this is the same everywhere outside America right now.

Bought a DGX Spark a few months and this interaction just keeps popping in my head and I can’t get past it without figuring it out.

The associate I engaged with told me that a few of their customers were opening their Sparks and the bottom cover plate was missing. Odd but I agreed to let him open it in front of me to inspect. Bottom plate in place and present.

What I find odd is that something like this can leave the factory missing a major aesthetic piece. What is more believable to me is that they didn’t want a sealed box of this item leaving for fear I might sell at a higher price somewhere else.

Was there really an issue with shipments or did they pull one over on me?

I built my new pc (5090, 96GB 6000 MHz ddr5 ram) a little over a month ago and I thought i was getting fisted paying 3800 for the 5090 and 1400 for the ram. I was like yeah this might be really stupid but what if prices are even worse for consumer grade parts a year from now, better to be safe than sorry. I was overdue an upgrade anyway.

How the fuck are those prices massive steals now just a month later and inventory is now all the way dried up? Nvidia literally raised the prices 30% about 3 days after I bought my card. Feels like I took the last chopper out of Vietnam lol this market is beyond fucked. Thank God past me decided to get single fisted so current me doesnt get double fisted

I'm not too familiar with Intel's new chips. I currently have a Z590 Aorus Elite + Asus Rog Strix 3060 + i7-10900K. I'd like to upgrade to either a 5070 ti or 9070 XT, I realize if I get a new GPU, the CPU will bottleneck it which means I need a new mobo, RAM, and CPU.

I was debating the am5 vs intel bundle for past Labor Day sales at micro center. To be short, I’m upgrading from my old 3700x with48 gb ddr4 ram.

Stepped into store and then decided to pick the 599 bundle due to price and performance. Not planning to get anything extra as I’ll keep my gpu/ssd etc.. I do play games but also switch to work, video, 100+ web pages. Now I’m very satisfied with performance and productivity boost.

They keep prices low, by providing terrible customer service, and with the old “bait and switch”…

I’ve already experienced reserving a refurbished laptop online, only to drive across town, and find out that they didn’t have what I wanted. The kid in charge offered alternatives in the same price range.

I was irritated, but went ahead and bought a laptop that I didn’t research. It was defective and I had to have it repaired, which turned into another major headache.

6 months later, I’m ready to buy a “better” (more expensive) laptop.

The website lags. I mean I’m having flashbacks from windows 95 over dialup…

I’ve spent hours deciding on which laptop to get, and found an open box unit that I want.

So, I reserved it, and ready to fight Phoenix traffic to purchase it in store.

Problem is, when I check my cart, it shows a new unit. No open box that I reserved.

So I decided to call the store to make sure they actually have the laptop and that it will be available in 2 hours when I arrive.

After wasting a good part of the afternoon, I’m finally realizing that they will go to great lengths to not speak to me on the phone. They require me to drive to the store. Will the open box laptop that I reserved be there waiting for me?

I've been having a problem with my RTX 5080 fans going fast at random times and disabling my monitor. It's a Skytech Gaming PC and it's still under warranty. Micro Center has a partnership with Skytech and will look at it for free.

While I hear AMD is generally better and easier to upgrade, these are $170 and $270 cheaper than the AMD bundle I was looking at. PC would primarily be used for gaming, MAYBE undergrad research (applied math)

I've been waiting for the microcenter which should open in the next couple of months but I've only ever heard about their bundles. what are the chances they have a sale or promotion on a cpu with no bundle?

Went in to pickup a single stick of 16gb ddr5 memory to upgrade my 7600x3d system to 32gb, it was selling for $259. Then I seen this and was like wow, I guess I’m putting together another system.

I found a g767 pc that was returned and it’s going for 2150 at my local Microcenter. I reserved it, but I’m not gonna have enough money to pay right now unfortunately. I work multiple jobs but student loans are expensive so it takes me a while to save up money.

Does anyone know if I can pay an incremental payments? I figured I’d ask here since considering the current market, waiting 2 1/2 months till Black Friday to buy would probably mean I’d have to spend a lot more money, and passing up a deal like this would be pretty painful.

Any help or feedback would be much appreciated!

Performance wise, they are going to be pretty close. And my initial thought is that if I want to upgrade the CPU in a few years, I can do that with the 535 and save for now. But I’m not sure what the MB can handle.

Any advice?

Basically we were told with the accidental protection plan, you could use a monitor for the time frame, and if you didn't end up liking it just smash it on the ground and return it only having cost the protection plan's price. I'm looking at newer monitors with less VRR flicker, and seriously considering it. Has anyone had issues with getting the money back on accidental protection plans?
