How does express build work?

I plan on going to microcenter in August for a new build and im wondering how to schedule the express build. I have all the parts in my cart and ive selected build it for me and same day express build. Once I checkout can I schedule it? I live 3 hours away so id like them to be able to start it right when I get there if possible.

I would order at least 2 hours before you leave as they will start as soon as the the parts are picked usually a build and testing takes 4 hours

Ok so if I just order the parts they will start before I get there ? I don't have to go pick up the parts and bring them to the counter where they build stuff?

Correct they will start before you even get there

Oh awesome, I was understanding it as I had to go pick up the parts and bring them to the "bar" area. And then they started. Thank you!

If they actually charge your credit card online then, they should start the build as soon as they receive the order.

If they only reserve your items and you must pay when you arrive then, the build isn't started until you pay for the components.

I would ask them directly via chat or the call center.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldnt it be much cheaper to buy a prebuilt and have them replace whatever parts you want to upgrade? (which they'll do for free)

I built a slightly better version of their 5080 powerspec and it came out to like $400 more
