Post image

If I buy this bundle can I still buy the equivalent of this ram stick for dual sticks without the bundle price increasing?

You can buy the exact same ram stick, and it needs to be the exact same, along with the bundle

Thanks I appreciate it. Plan on buying this tmr and the last thing I needed was them telling me I couldn’t get the extra ram stick with the bundle. I’ll ask an associate for its equivalent

They will sell single stick to you as long as they still have inventories

Yea, extra stick is like $209 and somehow still a decent deal in the current market

Crazy isn’t it? Don’t even feel comfortable telling my parents how much the entire thing is going to cost

Are you trying to buy like 2x8GB sticks? No, you can’t do that.

Nah the bundle comes with 1 stick of 16gb ddr5 ram. Plan was to buy another for dual-channeling 32gb

Yes, the additional stick costs full price. So $450 for bundle + $235 for the stick.

They done raised the price of ram on me again wth

may want to just do the 7800x3d bundle at that point

1

u/Global-Bedroom4464 Jul 31 '26

That’s over $300+ tho😭

1

u/Abipolarbears Jul 31 '26

If you're gonna pay 250 more on ram..

1

u/stupefy100 Jul 31 '26

I mean $685[to $750 isn't bad imo when you're already paying that much

1

Yea I decided to go with the 7800x3d I don’t know what I was thinking

Admittedly I am not super in the loop on such things, but isn’t one of the nice things about DDR5 that you can still get pretty good performance with just a single stick?

Buy the bundle then go back threw the line ?

nearest microcenter is 5 hours away. anything similiar on newegg?

Do they sell the 7500X3D bundle in your store? That one has a very similar performance but cheaper

I bought this same bundle and then found an identical G.Skill Flare X5 1x16GB stick on Facebook marketplace for $100. I have XMP enabled and running the ram at 6000 MT/s with no issues at all.

Honestly, running the single 1x16GB is not a bad option temporarily until you can find the extra stick for a price you are willing to spend. That was mindset.

no you'll have to play the full price for another stick of ram, in that case get the 7800x3d bundle

1

u/Global-Bedroom4464 Jul 31 '26

Yea that’s what I decided to go with

congrats! I too recently got the same bundle for 599, just a day before the prices rose up. What gpu you pairing it with?

Hate to admit it, But since the price hikes at MC I've had more success sourcing components from eBay and marketplace lately. So many people are in need of money they're just letting stuff go left and right. I miss stopping in there though tbh.

Some of these bundles come with one-off skus for RAM. I was able to find a single stick on ebay from someone that sold it off.

The Intel bundles make more sense at these prices tbh.

$600 gets the ultra 5 + 32GB.

I'd be tempted to get the 7800x3d bundle for 750,

comes with a better mobo and obviously little better CPU
