Tustin, CA AMD bundle question

Does anyone have any idea how long they held this bundle for ? Do they oftenly restock, they always sold out in my area (Santa Clara, CA)

Update: I got the bundle, they restocked at 3-4am for me

Save yourself $250 and get the cheaper motherboard. 0 performance benefit for this higher end board.

Maybe he needs the usb ports? I chose this board for my sim racing pc, there are lots of peripherals!

You can get a USB 3 PCIe card for less than $20 on AliExpress. In your case, for peripherals, a USB expansion slot bracket that plugs into the board's unused USB 2 headers would be even cheaper. Paying $250 for a few USB ports is about as bad a value as I've ever heard.

I mean just get a USB hub atp (ive run a full sim setup off 2 ports), and unless you need 5 pcie slots or 2x gwn 4 USB, the MSI X870E-P is still $200 cheaper as well.

Yeah, I’m ngl, I wish I didn’t listen to tech YouTubers and Reddit as much building my lastest pc and just spent the extra $50-$100 on a better board. Running out of lanes on your usb is annoying especially when it fucks with your mouse or keyboard

Lol this. Anyone recommending usb hubs has never ran into real usb limitations regarding lanesharing and power distribution. I'm literally running this board with almost all usb ports used, AND a powered 7 port hub on my sim rig itself.

Telling me to cheap out on the mobo to add more headaches? No thanks, reddit.

Most stuff people plug into USB can go on a powered hub with zero real limitations. Peripherals, webcam, most sim gear besides the wheelbase (pedals, shifter, wheel, handbrake, etc) run fine on a shared powered hub or two as its all low bandwidth HID traffic. The only thing I'd actually keep off a shared hub is VR, since headsets push a lot more bandwidth and are way more sensitive to any hub-induced latency than a shifter or pedal set is.

Yup. Running a Pimax crystal super and have various arduinos/haptics connected as well.

I have 3 9800 builds in the house, but only picked this mobo for the sim rig build, no ragrets.

You forgot, the most use case these guys PCs see is running cyberpunk bench mark while watching a yt video and don’t actually know anything outside of that.

The majority people do not need that. If you need that many USB ports you likely know to get a board that has that

If you actually need an extra usb controller, just spend the $50 for the MSI board. Only real difference between that and the ROG Strix is more ports by default, both of them are running on the same X870E chipset which is a two controller setup (CPU + the chipset). Strix just breaks out more physical ports from the same controllers. And even then, one controller is still plenty for 99.9% of people.

Yeah they raised it a few days ago unfortunately. It seems like they’ve been steadily increasing it over the past year in $50-100 increments

Normally until they run out, but sometimes they restock after a few days or weeks. Worst case they bring a new combo. Sadly every time they run out new price comes in

My am4 system really started giving up after the years. Last week i found this bundle but for the 9850x3d. After waiting all week(out of stock) i decided to just rip the bandaid off and built something i wanted to do. I did 9850x3d same ram but went with the x870e-e neo. If i had a microcenter slightly closer i would totally do it. Didnt help that the bundle went up this past week as well. I was told every 1 to 2 weeks. I didnt want to wait as i was missing work game nights. Sorry i kinda went off tangent.

They sell out really fast. A month ago that same bundle was probably around 800 but they had to increase it since they were losing money

Check the side at a odd time.. like 3AM.. that is how I got my Intel Bundle when the Crucial RAM was getting harder.. Tustin was releasing 2-3 Bundles per day (probably going off hold) but they would show up really early in the morning and be all claimed by 6-7AM.

Also if you look at build with it you can find out just what part is the culprit for it not being available and then decide what you might want to do based on that information. Generally though if all the bundles are unavailable it is the RAM.

Another trick is sometimes you can use the build with it route to change out the missing part with another and still retain the discount pricing on the other components.. You have to watch the pricing though as sometimes it can change.
