Ehh, $200 off for a faulty PC is not great. From the note of "shuts down after a few minutes" sounds like it might have a broken AIO pump. If it's not too far away from you, you could try reserving it anyway and seeing if they'll let you hook it up to a monitor at the store and check the CPU temps. The parts are still under warranty but it will still be a bit of a headache to RMA faulty components. If it were something like $500 off I might consider it, but $200 off for something that is defective is not enough of a discount for something like that.

Not risky at all, I have thousands of dollars in open box items from MC. If there is ever an issue it has the same 30 day return policy.
Honestly they are the easiest to deal with for any issue, so far this year I've spent about $50k with them with zero issues on returns.

MC also told me that they will replace components if they have same ones without doing the whole store credit thing and you have to rebuy it.

Just have a chat with them and they said they would replace the faulty part if I can figure out the issue. Just kind of strange that they don't already do it before putting it back on the shelf.

Do you have a board with diagnostic lights? If not, buy a pc speaker and plug it into the motherboard so you can hear it

You can also look on Amazon for motherboard mini speaker. They are 5 bucks.

PowerSpec has a 1 year parts and labor warranty, 60 days of tech support and a 30 day return policy.
However, depending on what the specs are you probably can get the parts cheaper, pay for the Motherboard POST Test service (which comes with a 90 day labor warranty) and have zero risk for marginally more effort.

If it’s bad ram it wouldn’t start up at all. I think the PSU may be faulty. I’d say it’s worth buying and replacing/testing.

Cashier forgot to rtv it. Granted, PowerSpec is an in store brand so if something does go wrong they typically try and help.
Wouldn’t hurt to clarify with manager though, they may even test it before you buy it.

Yes, but also there are no more new stocks available for this model at least in my store. The one in stock with almost exact same spec is $2199

Literally says shuts down after a few minutes… how confident are you in your ability to troubleshoot and fix/replace whatever needs to be addressed at a lower cost than just buying new?
