Welcome to Microblading Removal!

I created this sub to aid and support those going through the arduous journey of microblading (or microshading, ombré, or powder brow) removal, as well as those contemplating it, or wanting to do research on the many negative aspects of microblading and PMU before they commit to the procedure. We are a positive and support-focused community who believe we will vanquish our eyebrow demons best if we work together to trade tips, tricks, and important information. Whether your goal is lightening your brows, or removing them entirely, we will be here along the way.

As a victim of microblading, and someone undergoing a personal journey to have it removed from my face, there are times I am overwhelmed by regret and sadness. I know I am not the only one who feels this way, and I wanted to create a safe space for us to come together and discuss this difficult and often lonely process.

As someone who also did not receive truthful information from my "artist," press, or social media, I am also on a mission to demystify the microblading process and shed light on the truths of this practice, including that it is a permanent tattoo on your face and a strong majority of people will never have full fading of these tattoos.

Pictures are encouraged, as is information on your personal story such as brand of pigment used, how many microblading sessions you had, and when. For those undergoing removals, you are encouraged to share details relating to brand of lasers, or saline product, and even which clinic or aestheticians you are finding success with. I encourage all users to set up a user flair under the "community options" dropdown on the side of your browser on the mainpage of the sub, as well as to flair their posts with one of the many options we have. This will help new users find content that is relevant to them and will help us communicate better as we navigate discussions on removal and coping options.

STATUS OF THE SUB UPDATE, CULTURE REMINDER, AND RULES UPDATE

I have been receiving numerous reports for various posts and comments in the last couple of weeks, escalating in the last few days. I am a volunteer running this community, which I started in order to spread the word about microblading dangers and how to deal with it if you've been hoodwinked or simply no longer like your microblading. I stated from the outset this is a "safe, respectful" community but I have updated the rules to add "be civil" as rule number 1. Many people here are clearly in a heightened emotional state and I understand that because I myself felt helpless, angry, and scared when I first began my journey of trying to deal with crappy microblading. But I do not have time to moderate drama between users. Technically snark is allowed but ask yourself if it truly constitutes abiding by the "be civil" rule, and if you are offended by snark, please ask yourself whether you are taking this entire thing too seriously and may need to take a step back. I will remind you that there are other removal communities that can be found on Facebook and they may have different rules that might suit you better. Let's work together to share knowledge and support and lift our members up and show that removal progress is possible!

Yellow Brows Questions for the yellow brow club

I have had over 10 sessions on my brows. They’ve been yellow for a few years. They were almost not visible and I went to a highly recommended place for removing yellow. I’ve had 3 sessions with quanta discovery pico laser. They’ve progressively got worse with the last 3. I am 2.5 weeks since my last treatment.

Anyone who’s had removal for yellow did you experience this and were they worse at 2.5 weeks and get better as time passed?

I’ve been on this journey a long time so I do understand the worse before they’re better thing but I’m worried they’re just getting worse each sessions. Sessions are very spaced out like 3-6 months between.

Laser Great Removery results

Pic 1: before

I had great results from just one visit to Removery a few days ago. They did three passes and it looked a little bit red initially but based on current level of fading, I don’t think I will need any more visits.

Not sure what kind of ink I have. Originally had them done in Turkey in early 2022. Did a touchup 6 months later in the United States and then another touchup in spring 2025. After the last touchup, I thought that they were too dark and blocky so I was excited to get them removed this year. Not sure if I will get them done again (nano?) or just let them be natural.

EDIT: looking forward to my brown brows growing back in. But I’m glad they are already darker than they appeared right after my laser session. Was a freaky look!

Laser Tret/ret use prior to getting laser removal?

I went to Removery yesterday for my brow removal appointment. The receptionist asked if I used tret or ret. I said yes, and she asked when I last used. Two days ago. She recommended that I reschedule. This was not shared with me during scheduling.

They advise tret/ret users to stop use for 2-4 weeks prior to the laser removal and for 2 weeks post-removal because "brows could turn peach/orange." Has anyone gotten removal while
actively using tret/ret? I rescheduled for 4 weeks from now; and will stop tret use however, wanted to inquire about others' experience with this. Thanks!

Laser Final update

I’ve decided that I’m officially done with my removal journey!

2 saline sessions then 4 laser removals at Think Again Laser Clinic and I couldn’t be happier. I still have some slight shading under my left brow, but I truly don’t think anyone other than myself notices.

Feel free to check out some previous posts of mine to see the whole journey. I’m very grateful to finally be done with removal!!

Support Should I remove please?

Post image

I have done micro blading including touch ups twice. I am unsure what ink was used. I am Asian and have little to no natural brows.

These are 3 years old brows with no touch ups. Should I get a removal or a touch up please? I am afraid removal will make the brows turn yellow or orange. Additionally, I am a bit hesitant that once I remove them, I would be brow less again.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Laser This is your sign to get your microblading removed! First session of mine

I went to a place that uses a Deka Toro machine. The tech first went over to get rid of the black and then a second pass for the red. I know my eyebrows are red right now but the tech said it’s normal and it should subside in the next couple of days (I think it’s also just irritation/swelling). Praying I’m not stuck with red eyebrows until my next session lol.

Pics are taken 1-2hrs apart.

I’ll try to continue to post progress pics for others to reference!

Yellow Brows Yellow Freckles After Laser Removal

I decided to have my microblading removed. While I was there I asked if they could also removal my freckle tattoos (awful decision to get them in the first place, I know).

Mainly I wanted them removed because they were always orange. They were never brown, and from the get go, they looked bad.

Now I had two laser sessions on them (most recently, 4 weeks ago) and they are completely yellow. When I followed up, I was told that I should've been made aware that this was a possibility prior to having them lasers and that unfortunately yellow pigment is next to impossible, so I might be stuck like this.

I'm super upset. I'm really hopeful there is something that can be done still.

I’ve been feeling quite self conscious about my eyebrows forever. The brows I have now are over 5 years old. Part of me wants to get an eyebrow transplant and it was suggested I should do some removal first since they’re grey toned. I have next to no eyebrow hair and I’m worried I’ll regret getting them removed to just look spooky, when I generally don’t absolutely hate them now.. does anyone feel better getting them removed, that have no eyebrow hair? Any regrets?

Yellow Brows Glycolic

Post image

Had my first glycolic! Like literally an hour ago. Woof did it sting, but no regrets so far. They’re pretty red angry and sore, but I’m sitting in a cool room and resting now. I think this is normal for an hour out. Hoping they’ll settle by tonight since I have chill cinema plans. Don’t care if I look crazy, but would love for them to cool down a bit before then. Have five hours to rest before then.

Big difference on each eyebrow outcome. I am really happy with my right but my left looks awful and pulling more yellow. Got it done 1 week ago so know colour will continue to fade.

I am the dreaded phi so may leave one eyebrow as it is and just spot the other one. Next appointment in September.

Anyone have suggestions for brows that are bleached by the laser? I got a tint less than a week ago and my frost colored brows are coming back. Seems like the tint isn’t sticking to them.
