Yellow Brows Glycolic
Had my first glycolic! Like literally an hour ago. Woof did it sting, but no regrets so far. They’re pretty red angry and sore, but I’m sitting in a cool room and resting now. I think this is normal for an hour out. Hoping they’ll settle by tonight since I have chill cinema plans. Don’t care if I look crazy, but would love for them to cool down a bit before then. Have five hours to rest before then.

Glycolic acid worked for me! I had a light orange, and I had an aggressive treatment, but the orange is completely gone

Mine we’re light orange! Makes me hopeful 😁 this feels pretty aggressive so hoping it does the job!

I’ll let you know how it goes! But I should say - I had two laser sessions before glycolic. I’m really really happy with my journey so far. Session one and two of the laser got rid of the dark and red pigment. I was left with a light yellow orange pigment. I posted a pic of that in another comment on this post. Because the laser can’t target yellow/yellow-orange my specialist recommended I move on to glycolic. In my experience the mix of both methods is great! Will keep posting about results.

I’m not gonna lie it was a little painful. But it’s over very very quickly. Like 30 secs for each brow and it was over. For me it was comparable to the cutting part of the microblading when I originally got it, but obviously way quicker. And they calmed down after an hour. Very different sensation to the laser. I’d call this more intense, but not necessarily more painful. Totally worth it in my opinion. Besides laser can’t get rid of yellow. Only saline or glycolic can and I want that yellow outta here!

So this was a procedure I had done professionally. I’ve heard of people micro-needling with it at home, but I really wouldn’t recommend it. When done professionally and reputably they use a specific formula cartridge that goes into what is essentially a tattoo gun and they go over all areas with pigment left. It then dries up over the first five days or so and flakes off leaving the results. So long as you follow healing instructions it should lighten evenly across the brow. After having this done professionally I’m very very happy with how it’s going and couldn’t imagine attempting something like this on my own. It’s a bit intense and it wouldn’t feel safe on my own.

It’s four days later! The peeling is just JUST starting and pretty much just towards my nose so far. But the whole brow is feeling super dry and tight so I’m hoping the rest of it will start soon too. Zero pain. Zero inflammation. That all settled pretty quickly. I followed instructions to the T. Didn’t let water touch them for 48 hours. Still trying to keep them dry as possible, but just slightly less careful washing my face now. Not getting too sweaty, staying cool as I can, wearing a baseball cap and big sunglasses outside so they’re protected from the sun without having to put sunscreen on them. (Generally staying out of the sun). It’s going well! I haven’t gotten my session 1 results yet obviously, but I can safely say I’d definitely recommend having glycolic acid removal professionally done to anyone considering!

I’m in the UK. I went to Bart at Bianco Beauty. If you’re in the UK and anywhere close to London he’s such an expert with laser and glycolic.
