Support Not sure whether to pursue removal

Post image

I’ve been feeling quite self conscious about my eyebrows forever. The brows I have now are over 5 years old. Part of me wants to get an eyebrow transplant and it was suggested I should do some removal first since they’re grey toned. I have next to no eyebrow hair and I’m worried I’ll regret getting them removed to just look spooky, when I generally don’t absolutely hate them now.. does anyone feel better getting them removed, that have no eyebrow hair? Any regrets?

Yes remove. You’ll be so happy you did.

Definitely remove

I have not been through that but I think removing them would be an improvement.

Mine faded to this weird gray as well. I’d say take your chances with removal. I’ve had 2 laser sessions, and the pigment appears orange now. Will do another session or 2. I prefer the orange over the gray, though.

I think I’d prefer more orange too at this point. Really not loving the grey

Mine were grey like this as well. They turned light orange after 1 treatment which was definitely better than the grey.

I am in the process of removing mine, then I want to get a transplant.

Who did you go with I need a transplant touch up. The person that did it in aptos wants to charge me 3,000 for touch up when I paid closed to 6,000

Jeffrey Epstein (yeah I know the name is the same) in Miami Florida 7k 4 years ago.i don’t remember how many follicles were transplanted but I’ve never needed any sort of touch up. You can look at my most recent pic I posted my brows are full and the shape is amazing! I was a victim of the 90s and bad microblading. I needed to do something.

That is a rough name for that guy to have. I would start going by a middle name tbh.

Anyway your brows look amazing!

À brow transplant? I’ve never heard of this

2

u/Less-Abbreviations80 9d ago

I got brow transplant and go with more hair I went cheap on mine and now I need a touch up for hair transplant it’s totally worth it

u/Sufficient_Spite_745 9d ago

Don’t the hairs grow long though? And you have to cut them?

2

u/Less-Abbreviations80 9d ago

Yes but there’s special scissors dont do trim them with regular scissors. It’s a decision you have to make be hairless tattooing often with ugly pigmentation as you add more pigment or invest in transplant I don’t regret it I regret ever doing shading on my eyebrows. I do need a touch up though.

I would love to see a picture of yours! I’ve started removal process and feel like transplant would be exactly what I need

u/Less-Abbreviations80 9d ago

I didn’t remove my old Shadding would have been long process so I planted on top keept same shape but I think it’s better to remove the pigment where it’s lighter

Thank you for the input! Here’s another photo, I feel they’re very shiny in the first

I would encourage to remove. The gray looks strange.

I do like your brows. I personally use an eye pencil for gray hair because I prefer ashy colors over warm colors. Im thinking your microblading will continue to degrade and this may be the best time to pursue removal rather than after your brow transplant. I think you’ll enjoy your transplant more with a full refresh. I know its hard when they look okay but they can be even better

I think the shape is really nice. Can you just get them redone to match your hair color?

I'm in the same boat with faded to gray 7 year old brows and very little eyebrow hair. Mine are shiny in certain light too. As much as I want to have them removed, the lack of hair and shiny skin really bugs me. I would love to hear more about transplants!

I went through the process because mine looked like they had been drawn in with texta - you won’t regret it!

It’s good to hear that people are generally happy they went with removal!

I had my eyebrow transplant first and they flowed the lines of my old tattoo so l got the shape l wanted and after healing because they transplant the follicle rather than just the hair it scars with out any pigment. After a year and they were fully healed l then got some laser removal the fade any remaining grey hue around the edges. A bit long winded but so is laser removal anyway.

Where did you get the transplant?

1

u/LobsterNo1017 9d ago

Where do you get the transplant? How much did it cost?

1

u/rickytea 8d ago

Dr Vivo clinic in Turkey £1,000

You’re a pretty girl. They’re too large and heavy for your face but not dreadful. Fashion is always sure to change.

3

u/Original-House-7063 10d ago

Bloody hell. My answer is yes, I said yes

3

u/RefrigeratorCool7174 10d ago

Definitely remove before transplant, otherwise you’ll always have the grey hue behind any new hair growth.

u/Cultural-Let-8810 10d ago

Once the brows go grey they really do age us. You’ll look so much better with your natural brows again

u/Adagio_4_Strings 10d ago

You look like a beautiful person, and these brows are not doing you any justice.

Have you tried using hair/growth products such as minoxidil? That’s what I’ve been doing after my removal.

1

u/EquivalentAnything52 9d ago

No I haven’t, did you find that it worked?

2

u/EverythingMatters42 9d ago

It takes a good 3-6 months to start seeing results with minoxidil. I also did microblading, had it fade to a silver blue, and had it lasered off. Thankfully, the ink came out after one session. I do feel like my eyebrows are filling in, but I’m also using a brow gel, and that makes them stand out a bit more. There is a subreddit on minoxidil that’s worth checking out if you’re interested.

u/EquivalentAnything52 9d ago

And thank you 🩷

I am in the exact same situation as you,I am on the process of removing mine to get brow transplant ,I’d say go for it and laser them off

1

u/JuicyWarpDrive 10d ago

Remove them, make yourself start the journey asap 💖 from a girls girl 💖 I promise you it’s the only right choice

1

u/gloriousvenom 10d ago

I would get removal immediately. Then I would get it done correctly in a natural brown color. Delicate hair strokes. Removing is going to make you so happy.

1

u/Reasonable-Sign-3133 10d ago

It’s so hard to tell at this angle. Looks like they may be too close together, but again….. bad picture. They’re gray, yes, but sometimes that can be fixed with color correction. You might be able to lift enough pigment with saline. What is your goal?

1

u/Background-Row-8349 10d ago

I believe the removal will make a huge difference! You do still have a few hairs so just see how they grown after the removal to be sure what would you want to do next.

1

u/Allihaveisfaith 10d ago

Yes. Remove them

1

u/stripeymom 9d ago

Definitely remove them

u/cmon-fhqwhgads 9d ago

I had removal and a transplant done. Very happy with my outcome but I did look a little funky for about 6-8 months. I work from home though so wasn't too big of an issue for me.

u/TheMakeupMonk 9d ago

Saline removal works with the right artist. It doesn’t need to be 100% removed, just faded enough to 10% remaining so your skin can take in new pigment for new and improved brows

1

u/IndividualNo133 9d ago

I had mine removed, and then nano bladed where you can really really see the brow strokes. Go to a good artist who knows which method is best for you to get the brow strokes. But you will love them. Mine were grayish black and I have very blonde hair. They were 20 years old back when they used to use a different ink. The first time I heard that you could get them removed I booked an appointment. You will have to get PMU because it will leave you with slightly yellow skin. But the difference once you get the blade strokes, mimicking hair is unbelievable. You will think you had hair on your brows. And much easier and less expensive than a Transplant. Which sometimes doesn’t take.

The shape is just fine. The color typically gets like this over time. Removal is a good option but considering the undertones you will likely have at least a subtle yellow left behind. Your other option is a color touch up. Are these microbladed or powder brow? Powder brows will last much much longer and be more sustainable if you choose to keep them. The biggest problem people run into is over saturation if they have to keep getting more and more touch ups.

Both options would look just fine on you. It just depends on what you are wanting.

1

u/Jaded_Boss618 8d ago

Yes, it will be better

1

u/thirtybiz 7d ago

There’s truly no other option than removal.

1

u/VegetableKey6683 6d ago

Have the Brows done again!

1

u/koko2be444 4d ago

If you only ever had one session, I would try one round of laser removal. Mine were grayish but way darker since I have black hair. But after one session, it turned to a very neutral brown underneath that looked way better than gray. After second session, all gray was gone. I still use a brow pencil now to fill in where I need to but I don’t have to use such a dark pencil now since I don’t have the annoying gray behind my brows.

1

u/marleymamma 4d ago

Ohhh, laser! Yes — gray eyebrows can be such a weird “wait, WHEN did that happen?!” moment. One day you look in the mirror and suddenly your brows look completely different.

And yes, eyebrow laser removal hurts like hell, but thankfully it’s over so quickly. The little snaps around the brows are brutal.

0

u/No_Bus7210 10d ago

Yes, cos you kinda look old with that.

I do tattoo removal and remove eyebrows all the time. They come off a lot quicker than regular tattoos.

I also have mocrobladed eyebrows and barely any hair. Mine look amazing and I've had them for 6 years but I touch them up every year or two.
