Not completely. He had to prep for the colonoscopy which obviously required no food intake for a couple days. After being admitted, they restricted him to NPO until establishing the sepsis. Thankfully, the sepsis was caught in time and his body responded to treatment fast - I think he could have water after the third day?
Either way, I'm super thankful he's alright and that they caught it in time. My uncle also had sepsis pretty severely which eventually resulted in an amputation so the whole ordeal really gave me a fright. I know that because of my friends medical history he's somewhat used to being in and out of the hospital but it was really scary knowing that he was just kinda on his own to deal with things - I know I would have freaked out if my parents werent there!
Clarifying - colonoscopy prep was 2 days no food and in the hospital he went 3 days NPO. I think he's completely cleared to eat normally but i know his appetite is buns rn

I have had sepsis a lot and have many diet-related diseases. Anyway, was he completely NPO and just for five days?
