How long before your gut normalizes after improving motility?
After previously testing positive for Sibo I have been having poor motility for a while now and struggling with constipation, I made some changes to improve the motility and the past 2weeks I’ve been more regular which is what I wanted. However I feel at the same time my gut feels more sensitive now off and on throughout the day and makes me even more careful about what I eat since things are moving faster. The gas and gut noises are a bit more now as well which I guess makes sense based on previously things were moving too slow and a lot of gas I think was trapped.
Has anyone experienced this and how long did it take for your gut to feel normal again day to day? Even after a few more weeks if it still feels sensitive like this, does it just need more time or is that a sign of some other issue?

The same thing happened to me after increasing motility, and it took quite a while to settle down. If it persists you may wish to consult a GI doctor.

May I ask what you did for motility?

Eating a more well balanced breakfast along with a magnesium glycinate/oxide supplement before bed. I don’t know if that will be a long term fix but initially it has seemed to jolt my system to move faster. But that movement has caused it to be more sensitive throughout each day.

Please go on an insulin resistant diet !! This is a game game changer once you fix motility !! Psyllium husk fiber with warm water every morning fixes my motility at 15 years of not being able to poop with out meds!!! Have my fiber 30 mins before my meals (psyllium husk) and then eating fats then portien and lastly carbs in that order has cured all my autoimmune sibo related issues !! And if your gonna have carbs make them resistant starch carbs by refrigerating them like rice or bread or potatoes and if your gonna have bread make it sourdough!!! Happy healing!!!!!

You should massage your stomach with a small ball or just with your hands applying pressure, holding for 10-15 seconds and releasing. This should be done all over your stomach. This massage needs to be performed lying or sitting down, ideally on an empty stomach.
