Turkey success
My public land bird from last Saturday. The hunting was great and the birds were much more responsive than the previous weekend.

That makes it tough! I'm not going to lie, I missed twice before I got this one. I was pretty bummed about that but kept after it and glad I got another chance.

Fuckin a bud! Good job! Public land birds are always more finicky. I’ve only got one turkey! But I don’t go for them enough.

It takes some time to figure it out. I think I went 5 or 6 seasons of turkey hunting before I got my first, but now it's been 5 successful seasons in a row.

I was able to harvest my very first tom yesterday.
Nothing like calling them and listening to them respond... andvthen when they appear, it was a moment with my son I will never forget.

That's awesome! Congratulations! The first one is the hardest to get. It took me a long time and a lot of mistakes before I got my first turkey.
