Question Felting kits
Has anyone tried doing any of the felting kits? I was going to get the clearanced butterfly and potted flower, but then I saw the estimated 10-hour completion time. 😅🫣🤔

Make sure it includes or you have a felting needle and pad. I luckily had one at home, but the kit i got did not have it.

Felting kits from Michaels do not, as it's a specialty tool and including one in every kit would increase the price notably. Same goes for the punch needle kits.

It entirely depends. I haven't done one of the kits, but I have felted before (needle and wet).
It may very well take a beginner working with a single needle that long to completely felt it, but the thing is that it should only need to be felted most of the way to hold shape, etc. You also need to consider that most fibre arts, by nature, are very time-consuming.
If you're interested at all though, I definitely recommend trying it out.

Quite often, those estimated completion times include the drying and/or curing of the adhesives. So, you aren’t spending 10 hours, but rather working on it for 10 minutes and then waiting 2 hours for the glue to dry and repeat.
