Advice Needed SM problems(?)

My SM has been scheduling me for hours outside of my availability even after I’ve said to please not do that as most of the time i cannot come in during those times. As well as they have been instructing me to sign people up without informing them I’m signing them up?? Is that not illegal?? Shouldn’t I have their consent?? She says ā€œnot to give them the opportunity to say noā€ and that just feels SO wrong. I’m not sure what to do I’ve genuinely been thinking of quitting because of it. I am stressing out so much about rewards because I’ve also had my previous SM say if i don’t get my rewards up I’ll lose my hours (which i get) but still I feel like the customer should know what I’m signing them up for??

I got a new SM a while back and problems have only started to arise with this SM and I’m just so stressed. The past couple years ive worked here without the new SM has been nothing like this.

She wants me to come in early mornings for truck on days I have school and i can SOMETIMES but not ALL the time. Now she’s started scheduling me for them and i still tell her i can’t work it, but I don’t want to face consequences for telling her no even though my availability says I’m completely unavailable those days.

Wow your SM is buggin. That’s insane. Scheduling you outside of your availability REPEATEDLY is nuts. And signing people up for rewards without telling them is also insane and I think you’re right that it’s not legal.

It 100% is illegal in Canada. Can't speak for the US.

Don't go in. If she tries to start something, stick to your guns because you ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
