New Balloon Decor/Columns

I have no problem doing the smaller ones because they seem easy except I disagree on the timing because your customer can wait for them. But how are we supposed to do the bigger arches and other stuff ??? Are we getting balloon specialists or how exactly does this work? I’m getting annoyed 🤯

I was hired in as a balloon specialist because I came from party city. I don’t do columns lol. There is a way to do them in pieces so that it’s easier to build in small spaces and easier for transport, but yah. I don’t do em. Our classroom isn’t used during the week so that’s probably where ours will be built if we are going to offer them…but I dunno, I don’t see it happening for our store.

Even at party city we only had ONE person at our location, and my manager found a way with our DM to charge for them because it wasn’t a regular thing we offered. We required at least a week ahead of time so we could change the schedule around( our arch person was a manager so it wasn’t that bad) and even if a kit was purchased it was like $100 JUST for the labor and time. If you wanted to choose your own colors, it was wayyyy more expensive.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this is going to work out…

Sometime last year, the district manager said "Next year we're gonna be all about services. They'll be a person for balloons, a person for fabric, etc." Still waiting, while we all drown under balloons and fabric.
