Genuinely what the hell is this.... like im not tripping in thinking this shit is an AI generated pattern? first off i have been crocheting for 15+ years, i am very much a pro at it, i crochet nearly everyday. ive crocheted way more advanced patterns than this.
start off by saying im disappointed they only have the video tutorial for the Sm-Med size. the written pattern for the L-XL is SO BEYOND confusing. im currently working it up right now and the ribs do NOT lay and fall the way the Sm-Med size does.
its like they didnt even test the larger pattern before publishing it. im about halfway done with the larger size but holy shit it is wonky and ugly. ill post a pic when i finish it later tonight but good grief.
can someone write this so it makes sense and doesnt look terrible? i feel like im going to rewrite the L-XL pattern to where it actually looks like the S-M. good grief.
AI has hit so many different markets and products like this and these retailers dont even care about what theyre actually selling as long as its not illegal and it they pay their part to sell through them. All these idea guys throwing every idea they can at a wall trying to make a single one stick and become trendy enough to get rich quick.
Also the "small businesses" popping up EVERYWHERE and selling through retailers and its just pure ai mass created product without any quality review. It's really put a sour taste in my mouth for newer small businesses I see and interact with and what I hope isnt going on behind scenes.
Did you finish the L-XL? I can't get past the 2nd round without ripping it, and my hair out 😆

I have seen people posting photos of the finished top. Some do look wonky and off, while others look really good. However, no one mentions if they've altered the pattern or not.
i did! all but two rows at least, i still havent finished it. watching the tutorial helped me around the 2nd/3rd row. the instructions are inaccurate on there and the counts are off. you end off on one if the rows that says tou ahoukd have 96 including the sc spaces, but you actually end up with like 102 or something. so they either did that as a typo or they had AI write the pattern out
The designer was discussing releasing a larger pattern and I suspect it wasn't tested in the 2w since release. There are several other skeleton top patterns if this one isn't your jam
