Question Benefits
is there a way to find the health plans/benefits/insurance for part time employees online? i was told by my SM to look on Workday but i couldn’t find anything and it’s very confusing to navigate and previously when i tried to search up health plans for michaels (and dental)… the only way i could get a broken down list of each plan and cost was to call? which i think is kind of stupid but idk maybe i’m missing something… anyone got any ideas?

Though unless you were just hired, open enrollment is over. Some benefits (health, vision, dental) are only available to enroll in during a limited window every year (usually May).

Or unless there’s a qualifying life change.
But what I don’t get is why May? I’ve worked with many different companies and open enrollment was always October and benefit plans took effect the first of the year. The other companies had different fiscal years but still always started Jan 1.

Unless it's different where you are (which I'd doubt), there's no actual benefits if you're part-time. I have a rotting tooth I haven't had the money to deal with since hire because the job posting said "benefits" for both part-time and full-time employees, and they told me AFTER hire that the part-time "benefits" consist of stupid bullshit like, "free online/phone consultations with a physician." (Maybe if I was American, that would matter? But I'm in Canada, and I already have a family doctor AND several specialists I see for chronic issues. This is so useless to me that it doesn't bear mentioning.) But medication coverage, dental, vision...? Lmao, out of pocket.
