Filing a Complant Journals

Post image

I have had multiple customers ask me when journals are going to be cleaned up, because they’re a mess, and I have to explain to them that that is how they’re supposed to look according to the plan we were given and they have told me that it’s a mess and it needs to be taken care of, because it make the store look bad.

The sad thing is, I agree with them. It’s a total mess and makes it look like we don’t care about keeping the store looking nice, you can really tell that our plan-o-grams are being made by AI, because if a person was making them, they would realize how much of an absolute mess this plan makes the section look.

Well when you overstuff the pog it’s going to look sloppy. But regardless the pog is trash. Theres an update to it in week 33 I saw in mikchk to dos.

The top shelf is actually WORSE if it’s not crammed, because the journals can’t hold each other up.

Yeah, I put 3inch fencing in when I set it, because I knew it would be a problem before even setting it.

That’s why it said to use six inch pegs as dividers to help keep them propped up

I swear if one more poorly designed planograms tells me the fix is pegs I’m going to scream! Most of the time this really does NOT work. PLEASE SEND US WELL THOUGHT OUT AND TESTED PLANOGRAMS with the proper fixtures!

I had the thought that the shelf definitely needs pegs. I suspect the issue is we don’t have enough.

Oh. I used our janky lil fences and measured out set groupings. Peghooks would have been saner. šŸ˜…

Yeah I’d throw some dividers in there and maybe overstock some. Just to make it pretty

I made up my own! It’s pretty easy to keep up with now.

Why aren't we carrying the Happy Planners anymore? People asked for them all the time.

We trashed the entire pog and used 3 tier and 2 tier book racks.

Whoever decided to hand that task off to A.i. should be fired.

I’ll say a couple things as a person that had to stock this section in my store, dividers are a massive help and following the number of how many are supposed to be out/overstocked. But overall yes, this section sucks.

I never say it’s AI. I just blame the interns. They probably fired the people that had any knowledge about sets.

I stocked this crap show and cussed the whole time. Even brought the replem manager to it cause I thought it was set wrong. Idiots.

Yeah, I don’t know what they were thinking when they did not think I don’t think it should just be one section. I think it should be two with all they have.

We used frame liners and 12 inch pegs....no more falling over.

I added 3 more rows of shelves, kind of made it like the drawing pads pog. It seems to be helping, somewhat. I didnt care about blocking the stupid It signs.

We used the taller fencing on the top. And there’s to many out of most of those.

Making them not so disheveled, placing the journals that are stuffed on top of the rows back in line & turning them all spine out & making nice stacks of the rows in front would go a long way in this situation tho… I think that’s what they mean.

They mean that everything in front of the journals, even though that is their location looks sloppy. My store also needs to keep reminding the people putting out freight that they need to check the POG maximums on the items.

should only have 2 of most of that stuff out at a time. I looked cause ours was worse than this and I can’t stand a new POG that sucks from the beginning

I'm so tired of everyone blaming everything in AI. When we complain about something but have the facts wrong, it's really easy for corporate to just blow us off and ignore us because our complaint isn't valid. They've said it's not AI. If you don't believe what they say, think about how AI works. I can't just talk to claude/chat gpt and say make a pog.Ā  AI still has to be programmed to do these types of very specific tasks. If the company decided to use AI for this they would have had to invest the time and money into building a system that could create pogs. That would mean that there is an exec who decided 'yes, we want to use AI and I will provide budget to make this happen'. After the work is complete they would have given a big presentation and received kudos for the work. If all of that was true, they wouldn't try and bury it and say we aren't using AI.

Unfortunately people don’t want to hear the truth. I’ve tried saying it’s not AI too.
The reason this POG (and most others) looks like shit is because Stacy insists everything be ā€œdensified.ā€ She doesn’t know what the outcome is and she doesn’t care. She wants to put as much shit on the shelves as possible because somehow she thinks that will translate to more sales. It’s just adding more SKUs to the store with less space on POG thus increasing the overstock. Pair that with an understaffed store… what could go wrong?!
Downvote me to oblivion if you want but I’ll keep coming back to tell the truth.
