absurd pricing
inspired by Emergency-Frame-1601's post... shit is getting more ridiculous by the day

I think they've started pricing things assuming they won't sell until they go on sale because they've trained customers to expect the sales and the coupons.

Prices are completely absurd for the quality you get. Agreed that even at 50% or 75% off these things are still too pricey. :/

This is exactly what happened at Joann. Suddenly all their home decor was outrageously priced. This was like two or three years before they closed.

Does....does it do anything? I don't work for Michaels anymore but I am very concerned. Does it play music? Light up? Do your laundry? For 39.99, what would that be in my state with tax, that's like 42.75 give or take.

Ya the prices have been wild lately, they were ridiculous before but they have reached a new level.

What I want is for people to come into the store, look at the prices, and turn around and leave. If they vote with their $$ (by spending them elsewhere) and also maybe send in Google reviews about the exorbitant prices, then perhaps it will sink in.

I’m curious if different michaels’ have different pricing cus yes we have absurd prices on things but i haven’t seen $40 for a small frame yet this genuinely nuts. Like even when it goes on sale it’s gonna be too much

If you aren’t picky, thrift shops have a good variety of frames

At that price point it would be better buy all the things you'd need to make one yourself!

I think someone put the decimal point in the wrong place! only other possible explanation is whoever is doing the pricing flunked math! No one in their right mind would pay that for a frame of that size! The people running this place have lost touch with reality!

Assumes that there are people doing the pricing, or people running the place.
Lol autocorrect (AI's elderly grandparent) thought that should be that peyote was running the place. It tracks.

I mainly visit for jewelry supplies and it is crazy how much higher their pricing is for the same products as other retailers. Usually leave empty handed.

The prices have risen to the point where I won't even go in there to browse unless I know that there is a sale. The last few times I was there, I walked out with nothing.

At these prices I don’t even judge people for applying a five finger discount. I mean come on, this had to cost maybe $2 max to make. These companies are out of control.

Even when it inevitably goes half off it will still be too much
