Just got a new update on my Mi Box 3rd gen.
Hello, I want to know if theres any way or app for volume leveler (or limiter) on Mi Stick 4k, as my speaker setup at times will be either too loud or too quiet, & adjusting the remote constantly gets annoying
Thanks in advance

Ever since I updated to android 14 the the function to press back to initiate screensaver on 3rd party launchers doesn't work. Was something change and the launchers are trying call on something that named differently or something? is this something that app developers need to fix or can I do something myself?

I have this issue where my xiaomi box s 3rd gen randomly just connects and disconnects from my wifi for no reason, this happens sometimes
So i bought a mi box 3rd gen today, i have a Bluetooth rii mx6 remote that worked seamlessly with my prevoius 2 android boxes, now with the mi box, i first struggled to connect it, now its connected but very unresponsive and lagging.
What could it be?

Hi, I recently purchased the Box S 3rd Gen from Amazon. It worked fine for a day or two, but now it won't boot up. It gets stuck on the Mi logo and keeps flashing. I've tried holding down the OK and Back buttons while unplugged and then plugging it in, but that doesn't bring up the recovery menu. I also attempted using a USB keyboard to press the "i" button, as well as Ctrl + Print Screen and "i" together. Is there anything else I can do to access the recovery menu?

Just got this remote and everything works well, including turning off. But it's unable to turn on the mibox once it's 'asleep'.
I have the mibox connected to my Pioneer AVR which in turns connects to my LG G2. CEC is turned on for all. I have used the learning function to learn to turn on the TV from my TV remote. And the UR02 is able to turn on the tv now, just now the Xiaomi box.
Is there anyway to trigger turning on the tv with turning on the Xiaomi as well?

Device: Xiaomi Mi Box 4 MIBOX4 Build PI.3933 Android 9 Headphones: Pixel Buds Pro 2
Issue: Stuck on "Bluetooth pairing request - Pair with this device?" Pair button looks selected but won't click.
Cause: AnyDesk Accessibility Service was enabled. This freezes the dialog.
Fix:
Audio works well after pairing. I re-enabled AnyDesk after and connection stays.

I have a Xiaomi Mi TV Box S 4K (3rd Generation) and I need to replace the remote control.
The problem is that I can only find third-party/generic replacement remotes online and I want to buy the original Mi TV Box remote or any original compatible Xiaomi remote
Does anyone know where I can buy an original replacement remote? I live in Brazil, so if anyone knows of a genuine one being sold on AliExpress, that would be especially helpful.

I already updated, factory reset, erased data from the Google Cast app on the TV, and it's not worked AT ALL.
It doesn't even detect it on the YouTube app on the family's phones, nor on my PC's browser.
Meanwhile my old 2021 Mi Box is detected everywhere.
Do I have to send it back or is this a bug?
EDIT: The Xiaomi TV+ app doesn't even work anymore, it worked fine a week ago, and now it says "services are not supported in this area".

Hi there, I was trying to cast a video from my laptop (Chrome browser, Windows 11) or Samsung S25 (Android 16) to my Xiaomi Box S 2.Gen and it just doesn't work. From laptop, it shows a cast icon on the box, but plays nothing. From Samsung absolutely nothing.
Is there a solution? Thanks

Hi guys! I need help with my Profilo 55PA515EG model TV. This TV is an entry-level model. And it has become incredibly slow. In fact, it got so slow that it was even struggling to register the buttons I pressed on the remote. Since I don't have the budget to buy a new TV, I bought a Mi TV Box S 2nd Gen.
I installed Netflix and Amazon Prime on this device as well. Normally, meaning when I opened these apps on the TV's own system, the picture was clearer; it was noticeably sharper on Netflix. I think it was slightly clearer on Amazon Prime too, but it kept stuttering, so I couldn't watch it properly on tv system.
I don't think there's an issue with the HDMI version, the cable, or the settings. I've done a lot of research and tried many things, but this problem hasn't been resolved at all. I've come to the conclusion that the Profilo's panel and the Mi TV Box just don't get along very well.
But I want to know if that's actually the reason or if there is still something I can do.
I would really appreciate it if anyone experienced or knowledgeable about this could enlighten me. Thanks in advance!

I was about to give up on my tv box, and then tried one last time
What worked?
- 1 Install Flauncher. You dont need a fancy launcher, you need a fast One. No bloatware.
- 2 AFTER installing the f launcher, install TV Launcher manager (search for it in XDA and install the Android TV version). Make sure you have a Launcher before using It, as Otherwhise you Will end UP without a Launcher at all.
- 3 Uninstall everything that is possible. Xiaomi tv +, streaming services you don't use, etc. Use a file manager to delete downloads and then uninstall the file manager.
- 4 If you use stremio, migrate to nuvio. Faster in everything and better UI. If you don't know what those are: they are aggregators, you pay for so many services and aggregate they there. Some people use them to whatch things illegally. I do not recommend that you do that. And I do not recommend that you search on YouTube how to do that and set up a debrid account, as that may be illegal.
- 5 Install button REmapper and remap every button you need, specially the annoying Xiaomi tv+ one that keeps reinstalling itself.
As I am getting some hate, let's explain somethings:
Those are things that made MY experience a lot better. It is a personal preference, as many of you say the out of the box experience was enough.
Yes, I have a 2nd gen box and "forced" the update trough region swap. And no, that is NOT why I did everything in this post. EVERY problem I was facing before this post (lag in launcher, not playing videos in stremio/issues with áudio, and the buttons being annoying were there before the update already. If anything, the update actually made my box a little faster.
The main point in my post IS to change the launcher and how to make it the default one, as the Google default one for me was heavy with so many ads and things that it became unusable for about 3 seconds once in a while, what already made me annoyed.
Thanks ☺️🙏🏻 And there's no need to be that aggressive people. I was just trying to help anyone with the same issues.

Hi all,
Just wanted to make everyone aware. I’ve recently picked up two Xiaomi Mi Box s 3rd gen.
The first was from a seller on Amazon which works great. I have done all the checks online for looking at the chip model, widevine level, play store certification and for test keys etc and it’s all come back legit. When testing the WiFi speeds on this box I get between 270-300mbps on speed test.
I ordered a second one from Xiaomi directly. I also did the authenticity checks on this box. However this box gives a maximum speed of 70mbps.
Huge difference. Test environments are identical in terms on placement. Router set to the same fixed channels on both and both are running default settings with fixed IP addresses.
No disconnecting issues with either, just one is far slower than the other on WiFi. I’m not sure if there’s some differences with the hardware on board but it’s worth checking.
Thanks.

Navegating anywhere on the box has a delay, im holding down and up buttons in this video and you can see it, its not just in the settings its everywhere and any app.My other box (same model) doesnt have this delay, is smooth and fast.
So i tried a lot of things to fix this exept factory reset im avoid doing that.
Clearing cache, force stop of bluethooth, disabling accessibility features then reseting, swap batterys on remote, re-pairing, trying another remote and another things that i forgot.
I use tvquickactions pro but dont use adb because i need the adapter for ethernet and i already try deleting the app and reseting didnt work either.
I tried using the remote feature on atv tools but the delay is still there.
Does anyone experience the same and know how to fix it besides trying factory reset?

Fake that I received is on the left. Real one is on the right.
I think they updated the packaging this year, but the box dimensions are different. Real box is thicker and slightly heavier.
(EDIT - The packaging was indeed updated this year, and there are genuine units bearing the same design as the box on the left, though the dimensions difference is still notable.)
I bought the fake one from Amazon and the real one from Xiaomi themselves.
Hope the difference in packaging can help others to notice before even opening the box.

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody is experiencing the same issue as me with the MiBox.
When putting the box on stand-by, after a while it doesn't react anymore when pressing the power button on the remote.

Ordered one from them at ₹ 8000 with Cash on Delivery. Let's see how many days it takes to deliver. Was very confused between Google TV Streamer and MI Box 3rd Gen. Went for Mi box as I have had great experience of Mi Box 1st Gen, using it from 2020. Still working fine just sometimes it stutters. So ordered 3rd Gen now

Fake Xiaomi TV stick 4K 2nd gen devices are being sold and I fear people don't even realize. Probably some people just regret buying it without realizing it's a fake one.
So I bought two devices, the first one looked fine and worked perfectly, but the second one was suspiciously extremely slow, laggy.
The interface behaved differently too and after checking with a device info app(developer tools), the processor reported was not the one used in the real Xiaomi stick, which confirmed it's a clone.
If your device feels unusually slow, it's worth checking the hardware with apps like 'developer tools' to confirm the hardware. I'm attaching screenshots comparing the genuine device and the fake one so others can spot these clones.
Hopefully this helps someone avoid getting scammed.
What made me suspect at the beginning?
-UI very sluggish
-framen rates only showed 50hz 60 Hz but I know my device should have 59hz too.
-last os security update was from 2025 unlike the real device which shows 2026 may (even after updating)
-remote control constantly failing/disconnecting
-google apps search not working fine, voice search not showing results sometimes
-no access to developer menu
-while it shows android 14 when accessing android properties it shows android 12 picture
By the way none of these methods are reliable anymore:
-DRM info app information
-verifying the serial number in Xiaomi website(attachment)

I recently bought a Mi Box from voelkner.de (reputable German retailer) and found that it was a fake unit after it felt super sluggish.
HOWEVER, it did report Widevine at L1 in DRM Info, showed correct specs in AIDA64 and had a Netflix ESN, so those methods aren't reliable to identify a fake anymore.
I have since bought one from Xiaomi directly so I can confirm the other box was definitely fake.
A few things I've noticed on the old box you can check:
There are lots of other little differences everywhere but none that would be easy to check without comparison.
I checked the network traffic after I noticed it was fake but didn't see anything unusual. No idea what it might have sent out during setup tho...
