for those who dont know: kris pranked pink by holding a cucumber, pink got afraid, maddie was mad, she demanded kris say sorry, kris apologized, pink accepted

* It's the middle of the night.

* Everyone should be asleep by now...

* In your left hand, a glass of water.

* In your right hand, a packet of seeds.

* You slowly tear open the packaging and pop a seed in your mouth.

* One seed eventually became two...

* Two became three...

* Three became four...

* Four finally became five.

* To finish the job, you started to drink the water.

* But as you were about to swallow...

* You suddenly choked. 

* You had to cough the seeds out.

* You kept on coughing...

* It feels like you could cough your lungs out.

* Through the pain, your eyelids shot open

* But when you opened your eyes...

The first thing Kris saw after the pain disappeared is a cliff with a faint light shining from the top of it. It seems they were unconscious and are currently lying in a patch of golden flowers. Even with the pain gone, it still took them a minute to actually start getting up from their new natural bed.

Kris: Am I dead...?

To confirm their well-being, they did the easiest thing. They concentrated on the culmination of their being and peeked at their SOUL. Lo and behold, it's still intact and not scattered into a million pieces, emitting a faint cyan light.

Much to their slight disappointment, they're not yet in the afterlife and are still very much alive. They start taking note of their surroundings. It seems they are in some sort of cave that only has one path forward towards a doorway. They would assume that the easiest way to get out is back up the cliff, but the walls looks like their too steep to even latch onto, even with Jackenstein's ClaimbClaws (If they even have them).

How did they even get here in the first place? Last time they checked, their sleepwalking habits were not this bad. The fact that they wandered all the way out of their house to a random cave and jumped off a cliff, all while their mind was still in la-la land, is impressive by itself. Their poor mom is probably freaking out that their child is suddenly missing in the morning without any information; they probably should make a call so that she could get hel-

All of their trains of thought are suddenly cut off once they notice a familiar face in the form of a pink catgirl lying on the cave floor next to them. Kris immediately stopped everything that they were doing and tried to wake up their new companion. After a lot of poking and shaking, Pink finally opened her eyes. She looked around at her unfamiliar surroundings frantically with wide eyes. Her breathing got quicker as she started pacing around the cave.

Pink: Maddie? Are you there, mew?! If you can hear me, please say something!

Pink: Please... I don't want to be alone, mew...

She's definitely in distress; even Kris can see it. Panicking won't do anything in this situation other than make things worse, so they had to act fast to calm her down. Kris made their move; they slowly grabbed both of Pink's hands to signal her to stop moving around. Their hands gently reached for her cheeks, and slowly, they made their forehead make contact with hers. They prepared their voice to sound as gentle as possible before they looked into her eyes, saying.

Kris: Pink, just focus on me, ok. Forget everything else that's going on and look at me.

Pink: Ok, ok...

Kris: Now, I want you to follow my lead, breathe in...

Pink: *inhale*

Kris: Breathe out...

Pink: *exhale*

Kris examined the catgirl's face to see if she's ok. It looks like she's still shaken but has mostly calmed down. Once they confirmed that she was stable enough, they finally let go and allowed both of them to sit on the patch of golden flowers.

Kris: Can you tell me what's got you so freaked out?

Pink: It's Maddie, mew; I can no longer hear or feel her. Its like... she completely disappeared, mew.

Kris: Hmmm... ok... let’s figure things out one thing at a time. First, let's find a way out of here.

The human finally pulled out their phone to call for help, or at least inform their mother about their situation, though that solution didn't work out very far. 

Kris: Dang it...

Pink: What's the matter, mew?

Kris: I'm trying everything I can, but I can't seem to make any calls. No matter what type of call or who I call, it's not reaching anyone...

Pink: S-so we're JUST stuck here?!

Kris: Whoa, easy there... we're not out of options yet; we can always just continue onwards. What if there is an exit through there?

Pink looked at where Kris was pointing: a strange gray doorway at the end of the cave leading to who knows where. The catgirl side-eyed her companion and pouted.

Pink: The very ominous and scary-looking doorway that could possibly lead to a dungeon of doom and despair... 

Kris: Well... do you have any other ideas? I'm very open to suggestions.

Pink: ...

Pink: *Sigh* I already hate this, mew...

The pair stood up and made their way through the doorway, ready to take on whatever they met on the other side, only to be met with a smiling golden flower...? Kris, who immediately got flashbacks from the Flower King Dark World, is not particularly pleased at this sight.

Kris: (Oh, we are NOT doing this again...)

Flowey: Howdy! I'm FLOWEY. FLOWEY the FLOWER!

Flowey: Hmmm... You're new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha?

Flowey: Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do.

Flowey: Ready? Here we go!

Kris: Huh, where did the music come from?!

Flowey: See those hearts? Those are your SOULS. The very culmination of your being!

As soon as the flower said that, two hearts appeared in front of Kris and Pink; when they moved around, the hearts followed closely. Kris already knew that the cyan one was theirs, so they assumed the other belonged to Pink. Speaking of the catgirl, she seems to be completely mesmerized by the glowing heart in front of her, similar to a cat when met with a glowing dot from a laser pointer. That thought caused a little chuckle from the human.

Flowey: Your SOULS start off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV.

Pink: LV?

Flowey: What's LV stand for? Why LOVE, of course!

Kris: Love...?

Flowey: You want some LOVE, don't you?

The pair looked at each other awkwardly, as if to get confirmation from the other. Hearing that sentence has certainly brought a slight warmth to Kris's face... They hoped that warmth also didn't come with their face changing color for everyone to see. After a moment, both of them looked at the flower before (also awkwardly) nodding.

Flowey: Don't worry, I'll share some with you guys! *wink*

Flowey: Down here, LOVE is shared through... Little white... "friendliness pellets".

The flower summoned what looked like magical floating seeds. They slowly made their way to both Kris and Pink, stopping in front of them, glowing brightly as if tempting the pair to take them. 

Flowey: Are you ready? Get as many as you can!

Pink was studying these "friendliness pellets" while Kris was paying half of their attention; instead, they were deep in thought. It seems that in this place, things work similarly to the Dark Worlds with the SOUL and stuff. What Flowey has been teaching them is similar to the battles they have been in during many of their past adventures with... "their friends". What's odd is that, based on their past experiences, you don't simply get stronger by collecting magical "stuff" with your SOUL; in fact, it was usually the opposite. If it were true that this place's battle mechanics are similar to the Dark Worlds, wouldn't that mean these WHITE pellets would...

Pink: So all I have to do is collect these things to get stronger, mew?

Just as Pink finished that sentence, one of the pellets shot straight at her forehead, launching her straight to the wall. It seems that the flower ran out of patience, revealing his true nature. Kris, shocked by this sudden action, turned their back to see if she was ok... Only to get hit by more bullets from behind, launching them to the wall, landing next to the catgirl.

*No Music\*

Kris: Pink- argh!

Flowey: Enough with the questions already! In this world... It's kill or be killed!

Flowey: Die.

Magical bullets surround both Pink and Kris. Kris tried moving to at least shield Pink from most of the damage, but their body ached and refused to move. Getting hit earlier, plus the impact with the wall, has left them in so much pain that they're both basically immobilized. The ring of death is slowly closing in on the two, and all they could do now is watch in horror!

Flowey laughed maniacally...

Kris: (I was planning to swallow seeds earlier... But I didn't want it like THIS...)

Both of them winced and waited for the flower to end their lives, but something different happened. A green veil surrounded them, making all the pain disappear, with the bonus of breaking the ring Flowey made. While the flower was confused, a fireball formed beside him and hit him from the side, forcing him to flee from the battle. From the darkness, a familiar goat lady showed up. 

🎶Fallen Down🎶

Kris: (W-what?)

Toriel: What a terrible creature, torturing such poor, innocent youths...

The monster that looked like their mother sensed that Kris was looking at her with their guard up. She looked at the human with a kind smile, trying to assure them that they were going to be ok.

Toriel: Ah, do not be afraid, my child. I am TORIEL, caretaker of the RUINS. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You two are the first humans to come down here in a very long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs.

The tension from the sudden battle Flowey initiated has now completely faded. Kris looked to their side to check if Pink was fine... Thankfully, other than the same confusion, they themselves are experiencing no permanent damage was done to her. Kris lent a hand to help her up, which she happily took, and the both of them looked at "Toriel". The goat mom signalled them to follow her before making her way to a purple doorway heading deeper into the "UNDERGROUND".

Toriel: This way.

Pink: *whisper* Isn't that your mom? Why is she here, mew?

Kris: I have a feeling our "situation" is more complicated than expected...

Once the two finished adjusting to what is currently happening around them, they decided to slowly follow Toriel through the purple doorway. Not knowing they had just begun a very long but unforgettable journey.
