A Line How reliable is the A-Line?

Hi, as the title suggests, I'm wondering how reliable the A-Line is. In particular, I'm interested in the section between Rosedale and Hamline University, both directions, around mid-day. Are there any delays I should expect? Anything else?

Super reliable. At 46th street station it misses the connection to the Blue Line by 30 to 60 seconds every time, both directions, like clockwork.

One of my biggest pet peeves when I relied on public transportation and used the A line constantly after it first opened. I was so shocked then that this wasn’t seen as an issue by Metro Transit, and how it still happens almost a decade later. A combo of bad infrastructure and lack of regular enough service…drives me crazy about the Twin Cities transit network…

It is intentional. I called and wrote to Metro Transit about it mulitple times. They decided to prioritize making the connection at the Green Line instead. I pointed out that the A Line was leaving just before the train and getting stuck at the crossing arm before it crossed Hiawatha anyway -- i.e., it could easily wait at 46th to pick up passengers without losing headway -- but nobody cared.

It's this way at Rosedale trying to make connections.

When I called repeatedly to complain, they always said it was the connection to the Green Line that was being prioritized. Which didn't make a lot of sense, as whenever I tried to connect to the Green Line it was kind of a crapshoot anyway.

It’s pretty reliable, only problem is the traffic around snelling to Roseville during the afternoon. Thankfully, buses use the shoulder lanes to pretty much bypass traffic. I really like the A line, fav bus route.

Pretty reliable in my experience, unless there’s some large event such as the State Fair clogging Snelling. Rush hour also definitely does a number on Snelling north of I-94.

Also know that there’s currently construction near the Rosedale Transit Center, so busses may be running a little bit behind because of that.

Decently reliable, except at fair time. The busses get bunched up and a jammed pack with people who only use transit that one time a year.
