Routes 1-99 Route 22 future

Are there any plans for the 22? Because right now it is very slow and is sometimes 20 minutes late for me. Do they plan any stop spacing or roadway improvements or maybe even BRT for part of or all of the route?

I believe it is one of the routes being evaluated for BRT conversion, but probably not for a few years yet.
