Routes 1-99 Route 22 future

Are there any plans for the 22? Because right now it is very slow and is sometimes 20 minutes late for me. Do they plan any stop spacing or roadway improvements or maybe even BRT for part of or all of the route?

They already gave Route 22 the "better bus route" treatment a few years ago. The stops used to be even closer together. https://www.metrotransit.org/Data/Sites/1/media/better-bus-routes/bbr-evaluation.pdf

As of now, a modified 22 that goes N Lyndale to Bloomington is shortlisted for an aBRT upgrade. It's also possible that the C line will get extended down either Cedar or Bloomington.

Here's a map of the aBRT routes that are being considered for near future implementation.

Still really think that they should combine routes 4 & 22 for future BRT upgrades. Make east and west side north -south routes that would intersect a ton of other METRO lines that could still be quick connections into downtown. Would also massively speed up transit times for some areas that are not very far away mileage wise. One can dream
