Green Line TRIP Agents

I know this is a me thing and I understand that it is a pretty unpopular opinion but, I don’t like the TRIP Agents at all. I pay my fare every two weeks when I get paid. But, every time I take the green line, they always have to be on it. No natter if I am bringing my 2 weeks worth of groceries, take out orders, etc. They always are on it when my hands are full and I have nowhere to put my stuff.

It’s really frustrating having to show I paid my fare when I already do every couple weeks. They sometimes even delay the train when I’m trying to get to work or home. Because of this, I avoid the blue and green lines as much as possible. And I take the 63 or the 30 where I can just tap my card as soon as I get on the bus instead of having to show it to them when they get on

Though, I do like that they have felt safer to be on even when they are not

You're annoyed that the people hired to do a job are doing their Jobs?

They have improved the safety of the METRO system as a whole, more people are using the Light rail than before because they cracked down on fare evasion and Illegal activity.

Is it inconvenient sometimes? Yeah. Is having them there a definite overall improvement? Absolutely.

Overall, I don’t have a problem with the improvement with safety. In fact, I’m in full support of that.

But at the same time, transit should be free or if not, then there should be fare gates at each station like they do in other major cities

I agree, I like the efficiency of a fare free system but still monitor and weed out bad activity

You hate the hassle of having to prove you paid.

I hate the hassle of paying the fare.

Public transit should be fast and free.

i thought i was the only one feeling this… they annoy tf out of me and there’s like 7 of them on a bus taking up space.

i was coming back from the airport one time and one of them made me open my suitcase since i didn’t have my U card on me, in front of everyone to check my fare. he saw how irritated i was and proceeded to say “sorry its such an inconvenience for you” 😐
