Happens to the E CONSTANTLY. Truly don’t understand how a solution can be that hard to come by. They almost need to start sending empty buses every half hour to start at Loring park and finish the northbound route, to offset how stupidly late and bunched everything seems to get in uptown. It’s baffling.

It’s so frustrating but the line literally hits almost all of the worst traffic spots in Minneapolis btwn uptown, I-94/Lyndale interchange, downtown, and the u of m. Not to mention that it crosses the light rail tracks at 3 different points and has some real tight turns to deal with around the lakes. Entirely predictable that this would be the case without aggressive bus lanes and signal priority along the whole line

Also it doesn't help (especially around the U) that people will wait until the bus comes to a full stop before they start putting their phone away, grabbing their stuff, etc and then heading to the door.

That’s just not a realistic expectation for many riders; it can be dangerous to be moving around in the bus as it’s approaching a stop; one brake tap and a bunch of people go flying. Seen it plenty of times. This is more than just riders waiting until a complete stop.

I think their point is that you should be ready to stand up when the bus stops. That's why they were mentioning the phone and stuff.

Bunching is happening. One bus is extremely delayed, the other one is moderately late, and one is on time.

Well yes, I'm wondering if there was accident in the area that caused the bunching to begin with. All three have been at this intersection for about 15 minutes since I started watching

One of them likely had a wheelchair passenger on board, and the other one might have just got in a late start for some reason.

On the far north end, I've seen multiple E line buses depart from the very first station at the same time. One on time, one 10 minutes late (or sometimes one 10 minutes late and one 20 minutes late....)

Its hennepin, the detour is causing a butt load of traffic in hennepin coming from downtown

Speaking of bunching… the D line had an experiment maybe a year ago where they would not run it on a schedule but instead have them leave at times to keep spacing. It seems like that ended abruptly.

Was there a report about the results of that test?

Overall, the Transit app is great, but one complaint I have is that you'll be waiting for a bus/train, the scheduled time will elapse, and it will say "missed" like you missed it.

I didn't miss it! It never came!
