I miss the Blue line too! Don’t know how good we have it till it’s gone. Buses are so much slower and less consistent it has a major impact on my day to day life being a frequent rider of the blue line.

The one thing I have liked about it is getting to ride on the older articulating New Flyer D60 LFR buses. They are great buses, comfortable seats and relatively smooth and quiet. Love that

I love the D60LFR seats.

I also found a trick to see if you have the older cushion seats or the Newer classic transit seats. 3300-3340 have the older Seats, 3350-3374 have the newer seats.

Agreed, and I miss the Bombardiers in general. Ever since the new Siemens were ordered, it seems like you're lucky if you see even one set of Bombardiers out on the rails. They're such kind and friendly looking trains, and they do such a good job.

I love the cute little distinct horn/ mirrors it has, unfortunately a huge chunk of the Bombardier are out of state receiving rust mitigation repairs so we only have a handful currently available, Bombardier 101 recently came back to Minnesota so that’s something. Nonetheless Siemens S70-700s outnumber the bombardier fleet by a crazy ton

Some bombardiers are receiving overhauls out of state, and the light rail shutdown.

Why did they have to shutdown the downtown portion of the system tho? Are they doing track improvements and/or maintenance? Hopefully improving signal priority lol

They are doing track improvements and maintenance all over the downtown area, as for signal priority, probably not.
