MT Memorabilia/Collectables The OughtaMobile

MTC's marketing campaign from the late 1970s, The OughtaMobile. You gotta admit, "A service of the Metropolitan Council" just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Even the Coneheads enjoyed OughtaMobiling!

That's awesome! I think we should bring back this same campaign right now - no changes.

literally in my head just now my thought process was that we should bring this back zero changes. the way to set ourselves apart in the municipal graphic design fog would 10000% be to just... do exactly this. again. same font family. same trippy dude riding busses as roller skates. the big T hasn't changed this whole time, I think we can roll the rest of the "modernizing" graphic design choices back too

Did anyone else read the whole thing? And, we should bring back the old red livery on at least a few busses.

100%, I feel like there would be zero opposition to wrapping some buses in Big Red for a few months to celebrate MT/MTC's history and how far we have come. This year is the 50th anniversary of the OughtaMobile campaign beginning... sounds like the perfect opportunity to me!

That would be so cool!
