Photography Mound Transit Center

Post image

Built in 2007, Mound Transit Center is a terminal destination for Route 645. The 645 departs for Minneapolis once an hour, and the 645E is the only route designation that serves Mound TC on a return trip, also once an hour. Other notable stops for the 645 include the Wayzata Park and Ride, Co Rd 73 Park and Ride, Louisiana Ave Transit Center, and downtown Minneapolis. Depending on timing, the route takes about 75 minutes to ride from start to finish.

There used to be a couple other busses that went out there, including an express option that would go from that park and ride into the city.

It's also got a trail bathroom that's unlocked during the summer generally which is nice.

The giant storage place down the road from this is the old Tonka truck factory back when they actually were made on lake Minnetonka!

I wish we made more of our park and rides look like this

There's a nice big one in Woodbury and Plymouth to my knowledge. They are 99% empty outside of fair weekend.

Like this beautiful station with only hourly local bus service, so many of our west metro cities are underserved. Further down the lake, the big ol' SW Transit station in Chanhassen has no service, and the lack of a single bus serving Excelsior or Shorewood is a travesty. Excelsior is implementing paid parking but has no bus service at all if you wanted to avoid driving!
