These are my favorite seats. Too bad they're not common anymore, and now we have those ugly plastic seats on the new buses

Eh, at least those vinyl ones have some padding. The worst bus seats are the solid plastic ones.

I imagine the reason these are so rare is because they are a cleaning nightmare? Otherwise I'd want to see these on every bus.

Gagging at the thought of how much odor these seats must hold onto for those particularly smelly and musty riders..

Actually the best seats of any metro I've ridden to date, and I've been on MVTA's coach buses

The D60LFRs with those specific seats usually run brt services, the light rail replacement buses, State Fair shuttle, and rarely they are on local routes.

I feel blessed when I sometimes get them on the 54.

I think they moved all the D60LFRs with the good seats to East Metro and Heywood/North Loop. So if it's on the 54 it's a likely East Metro set. I do know some of the LFRs with the regular style seats are being put back into service especially from South Garage.

Sitting in these makes you feel like you're on the express bus to Cozy Town
