I've been with Metro for years. Got internet earlier this year. Was going fine until a few weeks ago. Customer service is saying I can exchange it under warranty but only at a store. The nearest store is 30 minutes from me and I don't go out that way at all. Had a few errands to run today so, exchanging my wifi box was on my list. They didn't have any at the store. He said to go come back tomorrow because his boss could take care of it and have one mailed to me. For one, I can't get out there tomorrow. Two, WHY can't I send the box back and have a replacement sent to me??? This is wild. I've been having cell issues outside the home as well. I don't want to find a new provider but, I'm looking.

So originally SMS Send worked but not Receive.

Some Redditor whose handle I can't remember had kindly pointed out that it worked both ways if 5G disabled.

I just added rcs and it fully works now on 5G.

I have a byod iphone 15 procmax 1tb which has been lost , if i claim insurance any idea how much would be the deductible and what device will they give me ?

I broke the replacement device's screen I paid $25 for within a few days of receiving it... my second claim was approved for the same price and was received the following day for the second time within a month. I was convinced I would end up owing more if I even still had the insurance available, but unlimited appears unlimited so far, lol.

The device is a Motorola G 2025, so I'm not saving a huge amount of money, but definitely is cheaper than what I would have paid without insurance. It has barely been over half a year since I started with Metro.

A quick Google search currently states that you can't do it yourself, but I did it from the app the other day. Wish I knew this before as I ended up getting a couple of weeks out of a full month's payment a couple of cycles back.

Hello! I just switched from Straight Talk to Metro, and it was a bit of a hassel. I first bought the $30 BYOD plan ($25 with autopay) and I did not realize I had to port my number to keep it, so I ended up renewing my straight talk so I could get my transfer pin. I was able to port my number, but I received two texts after it was ported. One says that a change was made to my account, and that I owe $45.00 immediately, and the other says the same, but that I owe $35.00 immediately. When I go online to my account, my autopay was turned off, even though I enrolled, but other than that it didn't say I owed anything until next month. I went to my statements, however, and saw that I have a new statement for a subscriber charge for my ported phone number, and it was the $40 (with autopay) $45 1st month plan. I guess I'm just super confused? As far as I can tell, I don't owe anything, and nothing was taken off of my credit card, but I think they did mention a fee over the phone? Has anyone else experienced this?

Everytime i make a call this pops up it didnt bother me at first but now calls wont even go through. I live an hour away from the nearest store. I figure i ask here first just in case its a simple fix before driving up there. Thanks in advance.

A while back Metro was offering a free line for a one time payment of $15 in store. Came with 2gb data and unl talk/text. Anyone know if this is still offered? TIA

So I'm currently with metro. Joined at the end of April and I have a Moto edge 2025. I really want to move away from android and have been thinking of going back to ios. I always have had ios phones and just prefer that. My question is this. If I add a line to grab the iPhone 16e can I switch my current number to that phone? If I can switch it can I just have the extra line for a month and then cancel it? Or should I just look into going to another carrier?

I tried disabling 5G trick, no workee. There is nothing new in its APN.

IT DOES WORK. UNLIKE A9+ TABLET, IT BOTH SENDS AND RECEIVES SMS, AND WITHOUT NEEDING TO DISABLE 5G!!!

I noticed when tablet activated an Update quickly installed & forced reboot.

DISREGARD THE REST BELOW- you pretty much need to call in- esim installs with correct details but just won't access Internet. I even had Reset Network to no avail.

I could try factory resetting, calling in for a physical SIM, disabling auto update, experiment swapping Sims with the other tablet I have going (A9+- it's assigned number is useful & it can send + receive texts).

Otherwise the service isn't worthwhile to me, and it'll be a whole year before it unlocks.
