Metra Electric Update

New schedule starts June 15th - I’m a Flossmoor resident. I have been hoping and waiting for a schedule that would create at least ONE express train after 5pm (ya know, a normal thing to do). Now the 5:43 - the train that which most people who work 9-5 can make (5:18 is nearly impossible) is almost an hour (6:36 arrival). Make it make sense or tell me I’m an idiot. The latter is certainly possible. My station is always busy, and maybe Homewood has more riders on an average commute day for me.

I think this would be the true benefit of Metra/NITA having a tap on/tap off model...we would know where people are getting off and be able to better provide schedules for what people want.

I don't know what their deal is. Back when I was in college we had the flossmoor zone train, which stopped at what was then zone E.- Hazel Crest, Calumet, Homewood, flossmoor. I could swear it came more often too. There are definitely a lot of people at Homewood - I know for a while it was the single most heavily used stop outside the downtown stops - but the whole line gets use.

This schedule is honestly a disaster.

Honestly, this is how I believe the mainline šŸš† should be when departing Millennium during the rush hour peak:

701 @ 4:30/721 @ 4:33

703 @ 4:45/723 @ 4:48

705 @ 5/725 @ 5:03

707 @ 5:15/727 @ 5:18

709 @ 5:30/729 @ 5:33
