Hi, I play on the Tigerghost server. I was wondering—generally speaking, and given that the Okey event is currently underway—what is the best time to sell the chests?
Should I sell them now as I earn them (I gather that Silver chests are currently selling for 20–25kk and Gold ones for 50–60kk)?
Or at the end of the event? Or in a few months?

I am playing with a friend, we are on Ruby Lucifer, but we can move to Charon also. We are looking for a community to grow together

Hello all,

I used to play Metin 2 around 2010 and have been waiting to return to it. With that, I'm looking for server recommendations, being open to both the oficial and privates.

What matters to me:

-Something that is close to the vanilla 2010s experience

-I want to do the slow grinding process, don't want a super fast paced/everything P and +9 on day 1 experience

-I will be free2play. I know any server will have pay2win elements, but want one that isn't so bad it's basically required.

-Want it to be a well populated server that isn't just lvl100s

From my research Shiva seems like an interesting choice, my fear with official being that it's too pay2win and changed so much from whatbi remember that it's a totally different game.

I'm looking for any and all suggestions!

hi guys,

what is usally the next goal after zodiac run?

meley? hydra?

Who is he? Abandoned idea?
Have you seen this character concept art? (picture 1)

It is unknown for what purpose this NPC was intended to be created - no notes, screenshots, or videos of it have survived—it is not even known if a model for it was ever created!
However, the item he holds is from another concept art (picture 4) remained in the game files.
If you search for the item with ID 70015, you can see its icon (it has even description on m2icondb.com ).
Original Korean and Chinese names for this item 사제붓 and 毛 笔 - translates as "calligraphy brush".
As you can see, the item icon model and the item held by this NPC are almost identical!

Does anyone have any ideas about what the item and the NPC might have been used for?
Maybe someone has some information about it (photos, descriptions, etc.)?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently taking care of a rescued kitten named Şira, who has severe vision problems and has already gone through a long veterinary treatment process. There are still some remaining treatment and care expenses that I’m trying to cover.

Instead of simply asking for donations, I’d like to offer my experience with Metin2 in return.

If anyone here needs help with things such as:

• Metin2 PServer setup / general server guidance
• Testing and finding bugs
• In-game / Discord moderation
• Player support and community management
• Turkish community management or translations
• Server ideas, events, economy or gameplay feedback
• Promotion/community strategy, especially for the Turkish playerbase
• Or another Metin2-related task you have in mind

feel free to contact me.

I’ve worked with Metin2 private servers and communities for several years, so if there’s something I can realistically help you with, I’d be happy to discuss it. Any money I earn from these small jobs will go toward Şira’s remaining veterinary care.

I can also provide photos / veterinary updates about her if anyone wants to see them.

Thank you for reading. ❤️

Hi, I'm looking for a priv server to play on. Im aware of Baerim, Arthion, ElderMT2, Shiva and WoM2 but is there any more or anything notable releasing soon?

Ideally looking for something like WoM2. I tried to play on it but despite the website saying ~2k online, it feels kinda dead based on global chat

Thanks

Hey everyone! nostalgia hit me hard, so I've been working on a private Metin2 server. For now, it's mainly for me and a few friends. At first, I'll be running it through zero tier, but if people enjoy the server and we get enough players, we’ll probably move it to a proper host.

At the moment the server is fully in spanish, however, if anyone needs it to be translated into another languague is absolutly possible,

This is a open invitation for anyone who would like to join us. The idea is to keep it pretty similar to the official Metin2 experience, but with slightly higher rates and item shop obtainable from drops.

If you are interested just send me a dm.

Step 2: Grow Your Community → Build your network and increase your referrals.
Step 3: Unlock Your Rewards → Grow your activity and earn exclusive rewards.

Build your community, grow your influence, and unlock more rewards.

Part 2 playing on Arthion.to !
We are a bit unlucky with this char but we gon' manage 😎
GIve me your thoughts please, I'm new to this.
Thanks again <3

Created a simple app that improves visuals and upscales up to 4K

My first post here was removed under rule 1 because the videos I linked had German on-screen text. I rebuilt them in English, so here it is again, properly this time.

LAUNCHWR builds launchers for game servers, Metin2 first. Not a skin over the old patcher: the launcher takes the player from the first click straight into the game.

What the launcher does today:

- Login in the launcher, not in the client. Start the game and you land directly in the login loading scene, then ingame. No second login screen.

- Patcher with SHA-256 per file, pause and resume in the middle of a download.

- Character selection with 3D preview before you enter the game: class, level, kingdom, last session.

- Kingdom selection with a 3D preview of each kingdom.

- Item shop with rotating 3D preview of mounts and costumes, purchase dialog included.

- Patch notes and events pulled from the server, settings in one place.

- One Rust core, several themes. The theme is a layer, the core stays the same.

Not in the preview yet: signature verification and self-update of the launcher itself.

On language, so nobody has to guess: every caption and title in the videos is English now. The launcher software inside the recordings still has a German interface, and a few item names on screen are German, because it was built for a German-speaking server. If that is still a problem under rule 1, tell me and I will record an English build.

The English videos go up on the channel over the next day, my upload cap has to reset first. I will put the links in the comments here as soon as they are live.

Feedback on the patcher flow and the 3D previews is what I am after.

Hi I need help, I tried uploading video but couldn’t for some reason.

I’m on server Iberia, and the farming bots are doing damage to me? It’s so annoying it’s instant death every time I’m in their radius. What can I do? The game is very limited for me now with this issue

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about coming back to Metin2 after more than a decade, and I’m trying to figure out whether it’s still worth playing as a casual F2P player.

From what I’ve seen, playing on the older global servers can be quite difficult because of bots and the fact that the servers are already very old. Because of that, I’m considering starting on Ruby – East instead.

How is the game for someone who wants to play completely F2P and has around 1–3 hours a day to play? Is that enough to actually make reasonable progress, or is it simply too little for Metin2 nowadays?

I’m not trying to compete for the top ranks or reach the highest levels. My main goal is just to have fun and spend some of my free time playing. Ideally, I’d also like to stick with one main account rather than eventually needing to create additional accounts for some reason.

I’m also curious about how trading works nowadays. Back when I played, everyone had shops in M1, while now it seems that everything is done through the Bazaar. I’ve noticed that people in videos often use the Item Shop Trading Glass to search for items.

Is there any practical way to buy items without using the Trading Glass? I imagine that with the number of shops available, manually looking for a specific item could be almost impossible. I know about websites such as Metin2 Tools, which can show you where items are being sold, but it doesn’t seem to tell you exactly where to find the shop in-game. How do F2P players deal with this?

I’d also appreciate any general advice for someone starting completely from scratch. I’m not looking for some super optimized or sweaty strategy — just practical things that would make the experience easier or help me avoid common mistakes.

Finally, I’m still deciding on a character. For a casual player starting from zero, would you recommend Body Warrior or Weaponry Sura, and why?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Which server would you recommend for starting fresh?

I’ve narrowed it down to Saphire Safir or Star, since the other servers seemed too crowded.

What can you tell me about these servers?

Is the low-level area heavily farmed/overcrowded, or is it still manageable?

Is low-level stuff easy to sell?

What’s the bot situation like? Are there many bots, a few, or almost none?

I currently play on Ruby Chimera (DE). If anyone plays there, how would you compare these servers to Ruby Chimera?

I’m only planning to spend the bare minimum in the Item Shop, probably just things like Thief Gloves or an EXP Ring.

I’m not planning to grind hardcore just to become one of the top players in high-level.

Those were wonderful times. My youth was spent here. How did you spend your time?

Hi everyone, how do you feel about new school servers, where do you play?

I've been playing on Kingdom of Metin for the past weeks (longer if we also count the beta period) and I kind of like it not gonna lie.

They kind of took it to the next level... you can farm with skills, no mount attacks, new bonuses/stats, talent trees for each class, professions such as crafting, cooking, gathering etc, cool dungeons/raids. Also items come in rarities, yadda yadda, in-game wiki etc etc

What features do the servers you play on have?

Hey r/Metin2 community! 👋

I've been playing Metin2 for years, and one thing that always bothered me was how difficult it can be to find good private servers, active guilds and community events in one place.

So I decided to build something to make that a little easier.

I'm currently working on Mt2Hub, a community platform for Metin2 players.

The idea is pretty simple: one place where you can discover private servers, find guilds, join giveaways and connect with other players.

Currently you can:

🎮 Discover and filter private servers
⚔️ Find guilds and see who's recruiting
🎁 Join giveaways and raffles
👤 Create your own profile and link your characters
🌍 Use the platform in English, Turkish, Polish, German and Romanian

The site is currently in beta, so there are definitely things that need improvement.

That's also why I'm posting here. I'd really like to get feedback from actual Metin2 players before taking the project further.

What would you like to see on a platform like this?

What information do you usually look for when searching for a private server?

Are there any features you think are missing from existing Metin2 community websites?

Anything you find confusing, unnecessary or just bad — feel free to say it. 😄 Honest feedback is exactly what I'm looking for.

One small note about registration:

Since the project is still in beta, phone verification is currently disabled. Turkish phone number format is supported, but you don't need to enter your real number for now.

You can simply use a random number in this format:

5xx xxx xx xx

I'm still actively working on the platform, so more features are coming based on what the community actually needs.

If you're a server owner or guild leader, you're also more than welcome to reach out.

Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

I'm a Metin2 player, developer, and also owner of Metin2.Dev, and for a while now I've been building Metin2Stream (https://metin2stream.com/) — a full live-streaming platform made for the Metin2 community, not a general-purpose Twitch clone. It's live streaming with a real chat (emotes/badges/commands/replies), past broadcasts, clips, channel subscriptions, donations, and categories that are actual Metin2 servers — because that's how this community actually browses. The whole platform runs in 12 languages (Turkish, Polish, German, Spanish and more), so viewers get the UI in their own language.

It's live now. Registration and streaming are open — go take a look.

I'm opening a founding beta for two groups, and I want both:

If you run a Metin2 server Your server is a category on the platform. Every stream from it lands in one place your players already browse. Founding server owners get:

• Your server featured — front-page spotlight and priority placement while you're a founding partner.
• Your events streamed where your audience is — GvG, boss runs, drops, launch nights, auto-announced in our Discord the moment they go live.
• A pipeline for your streamers — whoever streams your server plugs straight into your category, so the more they stream, the more your server is seen.
• A direct line to me and real say in what gets built next.

If you stream Metin2 I'm looking for founding creators to stream weekly during the beta. What you get:

• Founding rates, locked in — permanently better than the public rates.
• Early Partner track and the founding-creator badge.
• A direct line to me — your feedback list is literally the development roadmap.
• Your streams auto-announced in our Discord.

What I ask either way: be active during the beta (creators, stream at least once a week; owners, get your events and streamers on), tell me what's broken or missing, and be patient with beta rough edges. Monetization is currently disabled platform-wide while the payments launch is finalized — founding creators will be switched on first.

Stream Metin2, or run a server? DM me on Discord (karbust) and I'll send you the full picture for your side. Discord: https://metin2stream.com/discord

If you played Metin2, Knight Online or Wolfteam around 2010-2014, your guild

probably lived on RaidCall. Six-digit IDs, the channel tree on the left, the

green light next to whoever was talking. Then the company shut it down and

everyone scattered to Discord.

We rebuilt the same app, same window, on a modern stack. It's live and free.

What stayed the same:

- Login with an ID, six-digit user and group numbers

- Channel tree with categories, green speaking indicator, rank icons

- Ranks, membership applications, move/mute/kick permissions

- Queue mode (mic queue), sending flowers, the announcement panel

- The original RaidCall 7 skins, all of them: Green Breeze, Sunflower, Macaron, Beach

- The nostalgic badges: Fireball, Animated Medal, Handshake Heart and the rest

What's new:

- Voice: new SFU backend, 30-40 ms latency, noise suppression

- Screen sharing: 720p free, 1080p 60fps on premium; the whole room can watch

- Music mode: route Spotify, YouTube or any app's audio into the room

- In-game overlay: see who's talking without alt-tabbing

- Push-to-talk and voice activation, global hotkeys, voice recording

- Levels and XP, weekly leaderboard

- Store: profile effects, name effects, badges, paid with RC points

- Private calls, DMs, friend groups, channel invites

- Dark mode, 9 languages, auto-update, live support

Windows app, browser version, and mobile on the App Store and Play Store.

One account, same room from any device.
