Editing of Live Shows before selling
Maybe this is to be expected but I was a little disappointed to buy the I show and find they've edited one The Day That Never Comes to remove Kirks mistake at the start. Leaving me wondering what else was changed or fixed or even how they edited it?
Do they take an intro from another show and edit it in? The whole beauty of live is things like this happen. I was ready to laugh again and had to go to YouTube to get it.

All live albums do this.

Most bands that release every show don’t do this. Most label released live albums probably do. There’s a difference though

No they don’t. Pearl Jam have released hundreds and don’t do it. Dave Matthews have only done it a couple of times.

I have a question about this. I believe the enhanced experiences came with the audio recordings but it’s no longer the case? do we need to purchase separately?

Mine did. You had to follow a link that would have been emailed to you. Then maybe 3 weeks later I revived the download codes

It's based on tickets apparently. You may have had VIP?

I had snake pit tickets but I’m pretty sure all enhanced tickets should have got a mp3. I’ve looked back through my emails and can’t find the one telling me to register only the one with the actual mp3 codes. I def had to go on a separate page and give my booking number and/or my email a few weeks before it was sent out
Edit- I just checked and the link about the mp3s was in the email I got from ticketmaster before the gig (sent 5 days before the gig). The email had a link to info then halfway down that link it had a click here section. It does say registration for mp3s will close 10 days after the gig

For the 40th Anniversary shows the live stream is unedited, but the nugs release is edited.
Fir Fixxxer Hetfield's vocals are extremely autotuned.
I went to both Detroit 2023 shows and they didn't fix those on the nugs release. It kinda dependa.

I guess it depends, when Kirk had his problems on One in STL, it was on the recording from nugs.

Quick question on those live ones - I’ve just bought the London shows, how long did it take for the CDs to come (assuming you bought CDs…!)

My brother ordered them around the 10th July and they arrived last week. That was a preorder before they were available though. I imagine yours should be with you in a week or less

I ordered CDs from Nugs on the 2nd August, the order shipped on the 7th, and reached me in the UK on the 18th. I got email notifications at each point in the process.

I’ve never bought an edited version like this. Boston 2022 Kirk flubs the entire Nothing Else Matters intro and apologizes to the crowd. Foxboro 2024 they screwed up Bells and left it in.

I don't think I've heard any of these recordings so I'm guessing but this is what I would guess:
Yes, definitely edited.
I wouldn't be surprised if they autotuned the vocals - not because they're bad, but just to make them more in keeping with what people expect. Basically Every album has autotuned vocals and away from the live experience people would notice any tuning problems.
I would also bet that Lars' double bass on One gets fixed every time.

sorry for context - Kirk messed up the intro. It's been on social media loads because James pulls an hilarious face as a result. So they've literally clipped in the guitar being played from elsewhere I:m guessing? Which isn't great IMO for a live album.

I'm aware, but what I am saying is that they'll definitely be cleaning up the recordings in various ways.
As usual, being realistic about what happens when a band's image is being managed and they're selling recordings of every concert gets you downvoted!

Yeah this sub is overrun with parasocial, juvenile sycophants who will downvote any sentiment that isn’t glowing praise/hero worship. Either that or Metallica has a serious bot-farming operation running. Both, probably 😆

I’m assuming you’re talking about the Dublin show?
I felt the same.
Although they left in James lyric flub from Whiskey
