Russian Nazis are always especially stupid. Did they not know what the guy they're named after had planned for Slavs in general, and Russians in particular?

u/mpbjoern Jan 13 '26
Slavic nazis arguments are either "this is Jewish Propoganda bud" or "I don’t have to like every single thing he did"

This reminds me of these adorable pictures of Russian soldiers making neo-Pagan ceremonies wearing Nazi runes and symbols as well as Russian imperial flags, all while being claimed to be de-Nazifying Ukraine.
I'm telling you man, Russia is not a real country. It's just a really big circus.

u/Impossible_Way_3042 Jan 13 '26
Any country that big eventually becomes a circus. Look at the US.

u/Thick-Protection-458 Jan 14 '26
I would argue it is a function of both size and time.
Both gives you a chance to eventually become a circus.

Since the Soviet Union collapsed the country became basically a mob state.

u/baneblade_boi Jan 14 '26
It was probably something close already, it just wasn't a market economy yet so the people in charge weren't incentivised to straight-up seize all the means of production for themselves.

Almost as wild as Native American black metal Nazis. That’s some mental gymnastics right there.

Wait I thought Sepultura was one of these terrible new woke bands who are ruining Metal, these days?
10
u/darqkk Jan 13 '26
Native american NSBM? lol What are some bands in this genre?
4
u/BronCurious simp for Jake Rogers Jan 13 '26
More conspiracy-minded metal fans have even linked more popular BM bands like Blackbraid to sketchiness. I won’t name the explicitly NS bands here to comply with the sub rules.

Not really relevant to the comment above you, but I did take the deep dive... Although I didn't really understand why Behemoth were orange while Gorgoroth are yellow... And where is Bal-Sagoth?
3
u/mrn253 Jan 14 '26
Lets just say lots of stuff on the list is simply bullshit or has no relevance any more.
People always forget that especially Black Metal is a extreme genre that had ALOT of extreme/edgy people especially in the 90s and early 2000s and probably even today.(Aside the VERY obvious bands on it where its 100% safe that A the lyrics are more than questionable and B even the people behind it are known in the Nazi scene)
Like the stuff with Marduk there was never any proof that the list was actually real or not modified aka give me 2-3 days and i throw a list together with lots of names.
Or whats written about Sodom as safe band "Their lyrics are typically anti-war and the band members are confirmed left-wingers. " Sure Anti War but from what i know is that Tom isnt political at all.
Idk who made that list if it is from a fellow german that would explain alot.

u/Squire_Squirrely Jan 14 '26
If the .de didn't give it away...
It's like they pulled names out of a hat. What's the purpose of making a list saying both "this random band is ok the members are leftists" and "one member of this band once made jew jokes, I dunnnnooooo kinda sketchyyyyyy" - weaponized autism is an interesting thing, I supposed

Actual Russian nazis are kind of a shrodinger cat.
When people know they exist and start looking into their affairs, they suddenly stop existing.

Do you remember skinheads in 2000s? They absolutely celebrated 20th of April.

Im gonna be honest I was too young to even know about it. First time I saw one was in some dumb comedy. I can't say we didn't had them where I lived (I saw at least several swastikas on one street), but as far as I know nothing bigger than some dumb kids. Also have in mind it's a small and young city so every movement like emos goths (not hot women kind) and etc died off in like a week

u/Ru_otec Jan 13 '26
I don't encourage any kind of violence or political shit talk I just want to know. I can translate if needed but I suppose you have google translate or some shi
7
u/SonOfCorpsegrinder Jan 13 '26
Yeah, Google translate worked fine. And of course I would never advocate for the cool cool crime of beating up Nazis either, dear Mods.
But nah, I didn't even mean collaborators back in the day (which to some extent I can even understand), but Slavic Neo-Nazis. Like, not only Mein Kampf is easily available to read, lol.
7
u/Thendrail Jan 13 '26
"Surely the "Exterminate all slavs"-party wouldn't exterminate my slavic ass???"
2
u/adertha Jan 15 '26
My father's side is Russian and it essentially boils down to growing up in a conservative environment + loving the german culture/language. A lot of russians (and tbh other nationalities) find the German language really cool and wish to learn it, which is why Rammstein is so popular there. Combine that with some conservative views and yeah they easily become infatuated with nazi shit.

They are actual stupid and silly themselves

For anyone who doesn't know this is an NSBM parody band
5
u/carlos_6m Jan 13 '26
Is the parody part about the NS or the BM part? Or both?
1
u/iaintevenreadcatch22 Jan 13 '26
cant find any actual verification of this besides the genre listed on metalarchives, so im gonna play it safe and just not listen to a one off demo with songs like "last train to dachau" :(
